Better idea: We create a laser array box of immense power, and mount it on an extremely heavy duty and high elevation cherry-picker platform. Course, it could only work mounted somewhere very high.

Fuck it, we mount this on a stratospheric airship. Anyways, imagine it. Distant, powerful, instant pin-point on-target artillery. Aquire target, fire off one of the multiple.laser 'pods', switch target, repeat.

Or just design one that will be able to takeultiple targets. Its a long shot and a lot of scifi probably, but it'd be cool as hell. Would require nuclear power.
