design.

Also AK wasn't designed for accuracy since it was supposed to act as a replacement for PPSh-41. SKS was originally supposed to be the standard rifle of the Soviet Union. They decided to discontinue SKS since AK turned out to be accurate enough for the Russian mass charge deep battle tactics.

When a tight fitted precision weapon like the AR get dirty or is otherwise neglected it stars to experience problems. A well maintained AR should function and cycle a number of magazines without jamming.

And this is coming from an AKfag.

Wew, suicide watch indeed.
I'm glad you found a dank new meme, though. It was getting sad to watch the AK fail one test after another. :^)

Your basic AR needs to be run pretty wet. Today's basic AR owner really doesn't know how to maintain the weapon system.

I actually believed that Fuddlore too OP.

Then I joined the military.

I remember my drill instructor took my m16a4 from my hand and slammed it on the ground around 4 times during drill.

I thought the gun wouldn't work when we went from MCRD to Camp Pendleton for the pew pew aspect of training.

The gun shot flawlessly, scored expert rifleman with it. Not a single hiccup after hundreds of shots, including on burst.

During the crucible, I was thrown in a big hole full of thick muddy water, my rifle was visibly caked to the point I was scared to shoot with it later on the day thinking it might have a catastrophic malfunction.

I could feel the bolt carrier group have a hard time, and I coulf feel/hear the sand and mud scraping in there as I shot it at targets from a foxhole. But it shot perfectly one whole magazine, had one hiccup in the second, and continued to shoot the rest.

From that day on I knew for a fact, that a modern milspec AR is even more reliable than necessary for the average rifleman.

Though I do understand that a m16a4 does come with the rifle length gas tube and it makes it more reliable for that reason... I don't think that's reason enough for the extreme reliability I've encoutered with my m16a4 and personal AR.

I think most idiots buy AR's and they don't know how to clean them, or know to run them wet (with lube not water for those extra tards out there reading)

And a lot if idiots also buy 400 dollar ARs and expect it to act like a 1000 dollar AR. Trust me. Those six hundred dollars go somewhere.

The AR platform was never meant for conscripts though, its a professional soldiers weapon, and a professional soldier will clean his weapon often and inspect the parts for wear.

If you do your part, the rifle will do its and more.

>ar15s are superior to platform X
>but it can't be within this price range

ARfags can't explain this one weird trick
>>
>>31582747

It's not that complicated, you get what you pay for. If you buy a bargain bin piece of shit built by garage monkeys out of noname parts not made to spec (materials and dimensions both), you can't expect it to perform as well as a properly built one. To add insult to injury, due to the lego-like nature of the AR there are some gas/buffer/barrel/BCG configurations that just won't work well together, and aftermarket parts that straight out affect the weapon's reliable function, but people will nevertheless try to make them work, resulting in rifles that won't go through a mag without a stoppage.
It's the same for most ubiquitous rifles, really. There's been a lot of fly-by-night "manufacturers" of AKs, ARs and other rifles that gave their owners nothing but grief, some of them were outright dangerous.
If you aren't completely retarded, you can put together an AR that will work flawlessly for around $600.
>>
>>31580192
because you use promags and no-name steel cased ammo in your $400 AR

now take this (You) and delete your shitty thread

ARfags on suicide watch. Ak wasn't designed as just a cheap gun to throw at comscripts..actualy they are more expensive and difficult to build than most ar rifles and a decent one can get around 1 moa at 100m as pic related. yes I know ops shitpost is autistic but so are ARfag fud ramblings

>The AR platform was never meant for conscripts though, its a professional soldiers weapon
Thank you.

During my basic training we had a proper funeral service for some dumb private's m4. He left it somewhere and the drill sergeant found it. Anyways the private had to pull out his e-tool, dug a shallow grave and as a company we had to order arms and everything as the drill sergeant laid the m4 under at least 2 feet of sand hill.

After a proper smoking, the private cleaned his m4 with what shitty tools they provided us in our weapons cleaning kit (aka a tooth brush) and had to shoot later that day. We all qualified fine.

I think half the shit they do to the m4 in my basic rotation is to prove to use how reliable our tools are. If an infantryman can't trust his rifle then we are fucked. I love my m4 and when we PMCS and 2404 our weapons I make sure my M2A1 and m4 are up to my standards. Having either of them jam up is absolutely unacceptable.

>>31583623
These threads are ridicules to anyone that's actually served with an AR platform rifle. I've only ever had problems with old fucked up magizines. My rifle is worn as fuck and functions flawlessly
>>
>>31579521
Most of the problems of the AR stems from bad magazines or crud thats built up in the wrong places.
With cheap ARs, you run the risk of getting a dud.
>>
>>31579521
mine has never jammed. i just don't like the AR
>>
>>31583623
>>31584016

Agreed. I can see why people who haven't received proper instruction in cleaning and repairing their rifle, who happen to stick nothing but shitty half assed handloaded or Tula ammo have problems with it.

But those of us who care enough to actually read into the subject or have gotten proper instruction know the rifle is fine.

One M4/16 out of hundreds and thousands of them has an issue in the battlefield and all of a sudden

>M16/M4/AR BTFO

What people don't realize is these rifles receive many years of hard use and get "repaired" at the Armory. Its actually a testament to how durable they are.

wrong answer

the correct answer to "why is the ak platform so inaccurate?" and "Why is the AR15 platform such a jam-o-matic?", is "it isn't".

but how is stating that other people don't share giddy's opinion wrong? I unfortunately do agree with giddy on this but he's so fucking autustic it was so obvious what he wanted people to say. I've never heard anything about the AK being designed to be innacurate, and I thought it was interesting.
