A STEN. Easy, simple, cheap, plentiful 9mm ammo anjd any required replacement parts can be made in a forge with basic tools.

Maybe a few flintlock and snapcap muskets and pistols. Converted to handle smokeless they are the safest bet for long term use without society working. If you find any ammo you can remove the snap cap for the blasting cap, the powder goes downt he barrel and the bullet is melted and pushed down the barrel.

Works with literally any ammo. From .22lr to 20mm Lathi. Just break it down and load.


Not pretty or very fast, but literaly ragnarok proof.
