300blk is worthless but still around because you can jam a 30cal projectile into a chopped up 223 case all on your own for cheap... I pretty much like reloading more than actually shooting so it's the perfect caliber for me...

The same weight != the same

One has high sectional density, low frontal area, and high ballistic coefficient. The other is a flying ash tray. .300BO is always quieter than .45acp when both are suppressed. .300BO is more accurate at range.
