I accidentally wiped down my metal gun with blue magic headlight lens restorer.

Is that going to damage the finish and is there anything I can do after the fact to alleviate the damage?

It looks slightly off color now but I'm not sure if it was always that way.

How? I use microfiber cloths to clean my car headlamps with blue magic, and use the same cloths to clean my gun.

I accidentally didn't wash the cloth good enough I guess after I used it for my headlamp.

You basically scraped off the top coating of oil and maybe just a little parkerizing. HK and Glock steel treatments have a high enough hardness that you can learn from this mistake. If you want it darker again then just re-oil and get a new cloth just for your gun next time.
