I have no idea, it's just ridiculously fun to shoot.
>>31568076
Just ordered this gonna receive it next week neato. Can it handle +p and +p+??
>he fell for the VP9 meme.
Yep and it's probably going to be my favorite handgun until they make an SK version.
Grip zone feels good, the trigger is great, and for a full size it hides under my coat or rain jacket nicely.
>>31567842
Yes it's old, yes it's a bit on the heavy side, yes 9mm does have quite a few advantages over .45, no I'm not American and would sooner die than be one, yes I find amusement and enjoyment in how few American-designed firearms have been used in American Military history, but I can't help but love the M1911A1 design as well as John Moses Browning.
>>31567842
That I own? Either of these 2.

how few American-designed firearms have been used in American Military history
>Springfield
>Garand
>M14
>M16 (Stoner DI design)
>1911
>BAR
>Browning 50 cal
>>31568118
It's fine for +p, but +p+ might beat it up an unnecessary amount.
>>31568282
Sure.
>>31567842
Don't mind me, greatest handgun ever made coming through
>>31568136
Why do cucks call it a meme?
I fucking love mine. Don't really want an SK, but a chopped one with a 3" barrel and 13rd mags would be nice.

>Springfield (M1903?)
Blatant copy of German rifle
>Springfield (Trapdoor?)
Fair enough
>M1 Rifle
Designed by Canadian who started working on it before gaining American citizenship
>M14
Derived from design that was designed by Canadian
Now for the rest...
M9 Pistol
>Italian
M249 and M240
>Belgian
M1 Carbine
>Derived from Canadian-made rifle in many respects
Brown Bess
>English
Krag
>Norwegian
M60
>Copies MG42 and FG42 while being as good as neither
M1917
>rechambered British P14 which has elements of German Mauser
By the way, the direct-impingement aspect of Stoner's design has been around long before the AR-10 or AR-15. Ljungman; Swedish semi-auto from WWII.
Ah yes...
Chauchat
>French (Some were used by America in WWI)
Also, the M1919A6 and M1918A2 were some of the worst MGs in WWII. Yes, the M1918A2 is an LMG, which is a type of MG, not some 'Automatic Rifle'. The original M1918 of WWI was several pounds lighter.

Mostly meme fueled garbage.
>MAC test
>striker fired
>lolpoorfagHK
>etc
Hater's gonna hate. Best HK I've ever shot. Beats the pants off the P2000 and P30, even with LEM.

I'm sure it works fantastically... but... that looks a bit more like a tired Hi Power rather than a hungry one. I'm certain it's still fantastically reliable and accurate, but dude... might want to pick up a new one and let that one enjoy some semi-retirement as a safe Queen for a little. Perhaps take it out to the range every now and then for nostalgia's sake. Might be time to stop carrying it to keep it in good shape for future generations to enjoy.
>>31568435
>Brown Bess
"blatant copy..... umm how? Most bolt actions all share similar designs
> Garand designed it while in America
Good try, you couldnt even argue with the other 4
>>31568435
Since we wanna go back farther,
Winchester Model 1873
1860 Henry
Any revolver designed by Samuel colt,
>>31568456
I said Hungy as in Hungarian, not hungry. It's probably spent at least a few years or more in semi retirement anyway.
>>31568435
Stoner not only used his own design he developed the bolt and carrier himself
"The AR action designed by Eugene Stoner is commonly called a direct impingement system, but it does not utilize a conventional direct impingement system. In U.S. Patent 2,951,424, Stoner states that the system is not a conventional impinging gas system: ″This invention is a true expanding gas system instead of the conventional impinging gas system. Gas is routed from a port in the barrel directly to a chamber formed in the bolt carrier."

Muh baby
>>31568435
Oh yea well
>europoor firearms
Copy of the Chinese Boom Dem Dong
Everything is a copy of somthing. The axe is a sharpened stone with a wood stick attached. Most American military weapons are American designs. There are always guns that militaries adopt that are true foregin guns. The M9 is a good example. Another good example is the Maxim. Hell the AR might have used a gas system very similar to the Ljungman but saying that its not an original American designed weapon is like saying the FN SCAR is not an original Belgian (some parts designed in South Carolina) design because the AK47 had a piston and is older. And thats not original because German small arms had pistons.

Most fun is definately my Beretta stampede in 45 colt. When it comes to my favorite to depend on/carry id probably go with either my glock 19 or my sig 228.
>>31568509
Fuck you everyone told me it was a meme gun so I bought a Sig instead basically got fucked

Insofar as the bolt turns and is operated by hand, maybe.

>fucking hands too big to get a good grip on that tiny ass slide.
Fuck.
>>31568633
Muh nigga. It's even a BD.
I put a match trigger kit in mine, but kept the hammer spring and trigger return spring stock (I tried the match springs and preferred the feel of the stock springs), and put on some trijicon hd's. I shoot it at least once a week and it's only gotten better, I'm so glad the weather is cooling down so I can carry it comfortably again.
>>31569731
Just practice with it. It definitely took me some time, but once you figure out how to best get a grip angle, it's fine. If you've got the r model, use the slide mounted safety for help. If you've got the f like I do, try getting as much of your palm on as you can for additional traction

Fuck yeah, count me in. Best gun ever, hands down.
Springfield Armory XDm compact in 9mm. Rented it at my range and loved it, I'm going to buy it as soon as I turn 21, I've got enough saved up already.
>>31567842

Please give
Our department issues the P226... I don't really care for it. The only thing I really like on it is that shooting it in single-action feels good.
We'll be switching to the P320 in December.

>muh mac test
>>31572195
Love mine. Weird though, I have pretty small hands but only shoot & draw consistently with the large backstrap. Might be because I came from a Glock.
>>31570386
Guess I should join the party. Picked mine up a few weeks ago and I'm already in love. Only picture I have.
