Discuss the accuracy of this image.

Also, where does 7.62x54r fit on it? Where does your favorite caliber fit on it?
>>
7.62x54r is damn near identical to .30-06, but is generally inferior for hunting because nuggets, Veprs, and PSLs aren't as accurate as a .30-06 bolt gun.

Why are black bears father than grizzlies? Also shot placement is more important than anything, I've known people who have taken moose with a .270. As for 7.62×54 it's about equivalent to a .308.
>>
>>31566903
all seems reasonable at short ranges, i guess? like within 300 yards.
>>
>>31566937
black bears are on there twice, they just sorted the bullets by caliber.

i'm thinking sort of the same thing, varmints should be on almost all of those rounds, just depends how far away you wanna hit 'em from.
>>
>>31566950
Three times, actually

That's not a .22 Hornet. Accuracy of this image is shit.

Hunting a varmit, would imply leaving a harvestable corpse.

There's no sport in turning a squirrel into pink mist by shooting it with a .45-70.
>>
7.62x54R is a beast! I would suspect that you could hunt practically any big game with it. There's a few videos on YouTube of dudes punching 15" gongs @ 1,000 yards with Mosins.
>>
>>31566903
7.62x54R is between .308 and .30-06
>>
Why do sheep/goats demand more power than deer?
>>
>>31566903
Nugget ammo would work on essentially deer and up(predators&varmint if you don't mind a red mist instead of a skin), but as some annon said, the rifles chambered in 7.62x54r aren't good hunting rifles
>>
.223 can take deer just fine, at least in the South where our deer are small.
>>
>>31566903
>Bretty bad pic imo
.308 and .30-06 are perfectly good rounds for moose, especially given the huge choice of bullets, loadings etc.

.270, .308 and .30-06 work for black bear
>>
>>31566903
What about pistol calibers?
>>
>>31572627
But anon, 5.56/.223 was designed to wound, not kill.
Then again, if you do use .223, you can take out one deer, and then the one that show up to carry him off the field, and then the other one that shows up to give the first one medical attention.
>>
>>31572693
This anon is correct. Since 5.56 was designed to wound it's useless as a hunting round.

Unless you shoot it out of an AR-15, in which case it will work, but the animal will be blown to pieces and there won't be any meat left.
