/k/- I fucked up my wasr barrel trying to dremel a muzzle nut off. I'm about to get it cut down and pinned/welded with a new muzzle device.
If you could only have one muzzle brake/hider/comp what would you use?
Things to keep in mind:
- bolton gas block
- need to be able to clean the crown or inside of the device in case of corrosive ammo
- practicality: this is a general purpose rifle
- overall barrel length + muzzle device must be over 16"
pic related (but im going russian plum)

I actually got it cut down but when I had removed the weld the nut didn't come off- and thats when i went full nigger on it
>>31563256
soooo, did you manage to dremel all the way thru the barrel or what?
anyways, I've got an FSC556 on my AR and its great. basically zero recoil, and not too bad muzzle flash
Honestly I'd rather have something like this. Seems like a perfect non-SBR carbine platform for the AK. I usually prefer 7.62x39 in my AKs anyway but out of a shorter barrel you might as well keep it 7.62x39 so you lose less ballistics.

If you get into a situation where an ATF agent is putting a magnifying glass over every part in your ak to see if it has enough US made parts then i think you have bigger issues.
