Again, it has to be stressed that the gunplay in the rest of the movie was pretty low key and realistic. This gun was a prop to show has dumb the robbers were. Similarly, look at those yellow gloves- those are thick cleaning gloves one crackhead picked out because they "needed gloves to prevent fingerprints", the characters even comments how difficult it is to handle anything with the gloves on because they didn't pick up normal gloves. Again- these guys are retards.
