Depends on what type it is.

I can tell you right now that if I got one of these big bastards fully loaded I'd glass the outskirts of a few cities in specific regions before threatening to do that to the actual city if they don't stop being savages. Probably send worker droids to mars and the moon to build a factory and base on each to make more droids. Eventually build gas harvesting platforms on Jupiter and Saturn. From there build a trade empire mining resources across the system and selling it on earth for massive amounts of money. Invade some island I like somewhere in the pacific and set up my own small nation to be my base of operations on earth.

Eventually uplift nations that form major pacts with my little island nation but I'll never share the real goodies like shields and my weaponry. They may get in system shuttles and whatnot but until the day I die the good shit is mine.

I'm sure I'd probably have to glass a few cities in the middle east and maybe parts of detroit and shitcago though. Would immediately blow the Mexican cartels straight to hell too.

Well, what do you need to know?

I can tell you this much, Delta-V and Hohmann transfers are the order of the day as far as overall gameplay is concerned.
Until updates upgrade the enemy AI, just managing those two things are your priority.

Delta-V is basically how much you can change your velocity, NOT, as you may rightfully assume, your overall speed.

This gets tricky because slowing down also burns Delta-V, so complex maneuvers tend to eat up fuel in no time.
Simplify maneuvers when possible.

Delta-V is important when it comes to changing orbits, since the orbits around different planets require different amounts of delta-V to transfer because of differences in gravity.
This map I posted shows all the delta-V costs for most of the relevant bodies is space. You get your total Delta-V cost for a planet to planet by adding the numbers given

e.g. Going from Low Earth Orbit to Low Mars orbit costs 5.71km/s of Delta-V because it's
>2.44 + 0.68 + 0.09 + 0.39 + 0.67 + 0.34 + 0.4 + 0.7

Managing your delta-V and how much you can move around depends entirely on what body you happen to be orbiting and where you want to go.

This is more important when traveling, in combat it's more important to conserve delta-V for evasive maneuvers
