Got this FEG hi power off /k/ recommendations. Feels great haven't had the chance to shoot her yet.
/k/ get any other new guns lately?
Looks sick anon, much better cond than mine.
Id recommend removing the mag disconnect, unless you plan on dropping the mag out in a wrestling match. It makes the trigger 100 tomes better.

>FÉG
>Says FN Herstal Belgioue on slide
I still think the Hi Power is the best feeling gun to rack a round in. The slide just feels so good, and the sound gives me a boner.
I'd post a pic of my wood gripped Mk III, but I don't wanna get up.

I bought it of gunbroker as an FEG.
The guy at my ffl said it's like a Frankenstein hi power. Even when I was breaking it down, it acts more like a Browning.
>>31532849
I want to, I saw a video with a guy taking it out and broke a pin. I might take it to a Smith after I pick up some new sights. Or try it myself idk yet
>>31532924
Yes, technically it's close to a Hi-Power, but I have doubts about this one being a Hungarian model.
Pic related is an actual FÉG P9, note the engraving on the slide.
>>31532940
i also saw that video, he was a moron, be careful and work slow and youll be fine. Its so minor its really not worth going to a smith over.

There was a period where FEG made hi power clones that were marked with the same markings as actual hi powers.
Only later once FN took out an international patent did they have to stop.
Some one milled a rounded chunk of the side to look like an older hi power
>>31533006
I've never seen a FÉG model with Hi-Power markings before, even though I'm Hungarian.
>>31533057
They were counterfeits sold to Iraq during several embargos preventing FN from doing so.
Id say do some research, but because your Hungarian you must know all about every Hungarian firearm so i wont bother.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't state my nationality to pretend I know everything, my intention was to state, that it's new for me, even though I'm supposed to know it.
Also, you're*
>>31533135
Not that guy, but you can't correct someone for misusing "your" and "you're" when you don't even know how to use a comma properly.
Welcome to the club, friendo. Got mine about 2 weeks ago on GunBroker. The only problem I had with it was that the rear sight was way too far to the left and I had to whack it with a screwdriver and a hammer to fix it. It's still not perfectly centered but it's shooting accurately now without having to adjust my aim, so I'm content. I sold my SD9VE and P64 for it and honestly I'm happy I did.

>SD9VE
>P64
Very good trade, honestly.

So I too have an FEG hi power and the thing jams like a motherfucker. Replaced the springs, used different mags, everything. Only thing I can think of is that it's picky with cheap ammo which is all I've run through it so far. Anyone else had this issue?
>>31533618
What kind of malfunctions are you getting?
>>31533694
FTE's. Usually 2-3 times per mag.
>>31533715
Check your ejector. It may have a weak spring, or it may be worn out. It's the piece right by the ejection port, the little bar that's embedded in your slide serrations.

S&W 1076
Traded my RIA 1911 10mm for it.
Now if I could just find magazines...
>>31533988
Forgot pic
Should I just get a surplus FN or just a FEG Hi-Power?
>>31533511
Yeah. It's nice having something with a trigger that's not awful in some way or another. And being able to find magazines for less than $40.
>>31534051
If you have the money for the surplus one, go for that. The FÉGs are great but the surplus ones are better.
Op, someone sold you an actual belgian HP as an FEG. You got reverse-bamboozled.
Normally youd find hungarian HPs that are marked belgian and people try to falsley pass off as being belgian.
How many locking lugs does the barrel have?
>>31534051
Do you ever intend on getting a threaded barrel or suppressor? If yes, get an actual browning.
If no, get an FEG. $450 can get you either a brand spankin new looking FEG or a beat to shit browning. Other than the condition and the barrel, the guns are identical in overall quality
>>31534085
Idk what locking lugs mean? I'm new to the hi power game
>>31533988
>>31534008
NICE i was in the thread you had asking about it.
Good on ya anon, that 1076 is a really sought after gat, and should be awesome as fuck at the range.
Good luck on finding mags though.
