I just started back up a few weeks ago, it is a lot more easy to earn credits and buy shit now.

Over last weekend I unlocked one of every class, each one was pretty upgradable.

So you don't feel like you need to pay money now to get any where. Plus they just did their offical launch, ended up getting a few hundred thousand members, so it's always busy now.

Honestly? It's not. They actually slightly improved the grind by buffing EXP gain from rank 4-12 on soldiers, but it's just that there's more stuff that costs a shit ton (the fucking amphibious vehicles are literally the most expensive things in the game). It's grindy sure, but if you're having fun it doesn't matter.

Paratrooper is easy as fuck to level. Usually end the game with around 1600 points on avg. Have two of them, 1 is smg build is more made for taking and defending building, the other is pistol and sticky grenades, perfect to land on an enemy tank and tag his ass with one. So much xp.

There is so many ppl and servers now, you don't got to worry any more. Plus a lot of team work is happening now. I use to be a hard core camper with my recon, now if I try that shit, I get swarmed by either tanks, planes or bunch of soliders.

Last night our team had no air support, we had a shit ton of armor, other team was the opposite had a lot of planes, so ppl in tanks were calling out shots, one plane would be shot at by five tanks. Pretty damn fun.

What game do you guys think is most realistic with guns? It's cool to play fantasy shit like doom, it's cool to play some thing realistic. Fallout 4 would of been tons better if their shit was Fallout vegas with their weapons. Ended up just getting mods to fix the issue.

Arma 2/3 (with mods) would probably come closest if you exclude autism-tier weapon simulators.

Insurgency is pretty good. They've got a mechanic I always love to see in shooters. When you move your mouse your weapon moves a bit, independent of your field of view. Meaning hip firing doesn't have a consistent aim.
It really adds to the immersion for me.

I love me some arma games and mods. But the setup you see Frankie on, that's like 20 mods running in tandem. Only the server he's on runs that exact setup, and they've got scripts going to make things happen for his videos. Still great entertainment, but the point is that it's near impossible to play out exactly like in the video.
But you can still find things pretty similar, just most of your playing time will be running to a location.

I actually like it better than Insurgency; the arty is an interesting mechanic, and most of the guns are good. A few are a little TOO good, Stg44 and the M712 carbine (Full-auto, light recoiling carbine with 40-round magazines?).

It still has bro-op too, which is mostly what I play.

So Kommandos. Thoughts on Battlefield 1 so far? Personally I have some reservations about the gameplay, but the new single player footage has got my hyped again.

Not a fan of the near-death slow-mo, really. Just going by this footage, it also looks like the weapons lack a certain something, and I'm not just talking about the apparent overabundance of semi-automatic and man-portable automatic firearms. Compared to Bad Company 2, the guns sound weak and lack a feeling of weight. Even the bayonet animation looks rather unsatisfying.

I do like the bodysurfing schtick, though.
