I really need some help /k/
I live in a cucked state and am getting my HQL in a few days. I need help on deciding what I should buy as my first handgun
Can you help me choose a handgun that meets these restrictions:
>magazine limit if 10 rds
>no hollow points or self defense loads
>I don't intend to CC ("may issue state")
I am probably leaning towards a full size .45 due to the fact that I can't load hollowpoints and a full size 9mm would only have 10 rds.
I am not a first time shooter

Get something that was never designed to hold more than 10 to start with. That makes it feel like everything is okay.

1911 of middle quality or higher.
Ruger Super BlackHawk
Chiappa Rhino
No Taurus shit.

Yeah, have been eyeballing a 1911 lately.
is building one off a 80% frame hard? I have access to a drill press and air tools.

Middle quality 1911..
So Springfield or Kimber?
What about RIA

Yes. Shit load of handfitting and to do many parts right you really should have a mill, doable, but not recommended. Here's some dude who's built one with a drill press, haven't read through it, so don't know if it gets tarded.

Holy Christ...I didn't think it was going to be that intensive. Hmm...ok, thanks for the link anon.

Not kimber, just google a 1911s buyer guide, theres very comprehensive posts out there. RIA, Ruger, SA, and colt are gtg.

I would look at full size .45's . 1911s are fun and come in every price range. Lots of polymer tacticool hammer fired and striker options like glock 21, HK45/USP, FNX/FNS ,etc.
If it is JUST a range toy, 9mm is cheaper to shoot.

Full sized S&W M&P 45 and CZ97b both have 10 round mags as standard.
