Why do people hate on crossed for being "edgy?"

So by that logic, any zombie narrative showing zombies actually attacking people, ripping out their innards, ripping their flesh, and eating them alive sacrifices story for shock value. And this is what I'm sick of, all of these whitewashed PG-13 forms of media that don't display the sheer brutality of lawlessness, madness, and the most base behaviors of humanity.

Does crossed push the envelope for pure shock at times? Yes. But I, for one, find the majority of it refreshing to see the ugly nature of what would happen. Kind of like comparing The Longest Day to the opening moments of Saving Private Ryan. Without the fallback of "That actually happened," I enjoy the blunt brutality of the work.

The dolphin lung fucking is just a cherry on top.
