Because the distorted pattern blends with the out of focus background? I guess if human eyes were camera lenses it might be good for innawoods. But this is a promotional photo so they're going to show it in the most ideal setting, at just the right angle, which isn't always an accurate representation of how it would blend in nature to the human eye.
That said I kinda like it.
