3 gun and competition shooting

I know most discussions are just about the gear, but experiences and training tips are always awesome

The best gear to start shooting 3-gun with is the gear you have.

Shoot a few matches with what you have and talk to the other guys and figure out what you need and slowly build up your kit

Me, I shoot heavy metal, and do well, with a 97 Winchester, 1911 and M1 Garand. Most of my LBE is surplus WW2 stuff (i do use post war Greek M1 clip pouches). It's more about fun than anything else.

I have a great rifle, a good pistol, but my current shotgun is a 28 inch 20 gauge winchester 1300 with a 3 round magazine. I hate the damn thing cant pattern it worth a shit. im a geardo too, so only things i need is a pistol holster and some shell caddies and im set.

The go-to shotgun for three gun is the Benelli M2.

If you've got the other stuff, just buy a cheap shotgun like a persuader, pardner protector, or Stevens/savage.

Don't spend too much until you've shot a few matches.

If you're poorfaggin get a stoeger m3k, cz75 and build an AR15 from an aero lower. Then get moneys, buy new shit and give you're old stuff to a needy /k/ommando who wants to 3gun with you.
