Heres my csa model. Took the picture yesterday. Also, does anyone know how to get the mobile app to stop rotating pics? Its really annoying
little green gremlin coming through

Cute rifle anon
Was it originally a pistol or full size rifle? Also, how did you get an optics mount attached to the receiver?
>>31501265
I bought it this way (as a rifle, we don't have your sbr laws) with the optic side rail. In hindsight I should've gotten the low profile mount.
>>31501314
Are you from europe?
These are hard to find in America and are brought in very small numbers. Would have liked an optics rail but good luck finding one.
>>31501374
Yep,
Democratic Peoples Republic of Germanistan.
I also had to look for some time. The normal vz58's barrel is too long for my taste, the shorty is too short. This one is just right.
For an optics rail I would suggest looking here.

They also have loads of accessories.

How difficult was it to buy your rifle? I'd imagine a semi auto mag fed gun would be the most difficult rifle to purchase.
Thanks for the link. I've also considered replacing the upper hand guard with a rail for a red dot. Not sure how stable that would be but the gun only does 3 MOA anyway

The cons that I remember from shooting my friend's century gun are...
>very sandpapery feeling action
>bad fit, hard to get pins out to take down rifle, and hard to pull pieces off
>safety goes in less convenient direction for flipping off and shooting, cz model pushes forward and trigger finger lands right at trigger
>the folder stock was very loose and wobbly compared to mine
>shot very noticeably worse with the slant brake one, great shooter without muzzle device, this was at 400 yard steel
>I thought my cz vs's trigger was heavy, the century one is even worse
>mags didn't fit nearly as securely as on mine
>no chrome barrel
Overall thought, worked fine, even lighter than my cz model, and would easily choose over any basic ~$500 ak options. Just replace that shit slant brake with a slavakian brake or something, even just a muzzle nut to protect the threads.
I was tempted to buy a vz2008 at that $400 price, just as a second total beater gun.
>>31501416
that's what I've got
>>31501482
I held a century gun, than immediately put it back down and bought an sks when I was a poorfag to satisfy my slavshit needs.
When I got a better job, I immediately bought the csa. Quality is so much better and I can't own an ak in MD so this is my main rifle.
Wish mags were easier to find and that surplus mags were more reliable. Not all hold the bolt open.
>>31501446
To be honest, not hard at all.
Sure getting my hunting license was pretty hard (3 exams; practical, written and spoken; fuckloads of learning), but after that it's show license, receive gun.
With my hunting license I can buy unlimited long arms and ammo, but only 2 handguns (more if I can reliably prove I need them (competition etc.)), so buying it was bascially:
>buy
>pay
>mail copy of it to the seller
>gun arrives per mail
>tell my gun registration agency: "Sup guize, I bought this gun from this dude."
>done
But with the new shit the EU is planning all that can change pretty soon. FUCK THEM!
>>31501543
Nice, thats way easier than I expected. Buy your ammo and mags now before the EU decides that you're not capable of owning and using them responsibly.
Do you have mag limits?
We've got similar problems over here. Shillary wants to install assault weapons ban 2.0 just like her husband so if she gets elected we may have problems.
Just ordered 2k rounds for it yesterday.
>>31501573
I already have loads of mags for the vz58. Over here they're cheaper than AK mags (~4-5€/EA, no wonder if you're bordering the Czech Republic).
The only mag limits are for the actual use. For example I can't shoot at animals with a semi-auto with more than 2 rounds in the mag (it used to be only with 2 round mags, but they changed that shit to loaded with 2 rounds recently). On the range the only limitation for me is the one the owner puts in place. For sport shooters it'S normaly 5 or 10 rounds.
Magazines themselves are unregulated and can be bought by everyone.
And now I've run out of pictures of my VZ.
>>31501676
That's surprisingly reasonable. I am ashamed to say your magazine laws are better than the laws in my state, Maryland. I have to drive the next state over and happen to stumble across mags for sale. Gun stores won't receive online orders for people who live out of state and most don't stock vz mags because its not commonly used over here. I bought 8 mags at a gun show for $250. Way too expensive but no other alternatives.
>>31501733
Yeah, I know you guys have day/night differences between states regarding gun laws. Granted we also have some pretty shitty gun laws regarding other things.
>$250
Jesus titty-fucking christ, I paid 16,99€ for 4 mags in the original pouch. I could probably pay for a small vacation using nothing but a suitcase of VZ mags.
I found another picture. Here it is with the rest (incomplete) of the family.
>>31501830
That fuckin' trench gun sword bayonet. I'd love to have one for VZ, even though it is almost as large as the rifle! ... Who am I kidding. Because it is almost as large as the rifle! Purdy collection.
>>31501830
Yea, here in MD you would do well if you could get all the vz owners in one room. You'd probably fly home with a few thousand in cash.
In general, the rifle is very obscure and most people confuse them with AK's. I'd like to own an AK one day, but I dont feel too slighted by owning this. I live in the only state where ak's are illegal.
I need to build confidence in the rifle though. The last time I shot it, I had several light strikes and it jammed a few times.
>>31501096
Get the APK for Chanu and use that instead. It's also on F-Droid.
>>31502013
Yeah, over here it's also pretty obscure, since sport shooters can't buy most x39 rifles and hunters rarely have them.
The only problems I've had so far where ~10 FTEs and stovepipes in around 2k rounds. Most of it from the same batch of surplus ammo.
>only state where ak's are illegal.
Stay strong and one day you may have the freedom to own everything you want.
(Also the Vz is much easier to clean in my opinion than the AK; also: stripper clips - fuck yeah)
