Eh. I like the MRD I have on my .45. Works well enough, but the holster problem is certainly a thing.

I just can't see why the fuck you'd ever have one that you can't co-witness with. If it's irons or a red dot, that's not even a question for a pistol. Much like a can, it's a "I'll use it if I have the time" thing. Something goes bump in the night, I've already got a can on my pistol and pressing any button lights up the MRD I use, so not exactly a high bar to meet. If I find a holster solution and carry? Yeah, pretty much no chance I'd ever use the MRD defensively. "Hold on, I need to turn on my sight" doesn't exactly work well during a mugging.

I didn't have a problem with holsters. It was slow as shit up close but the big proponents of these say that's a training issue. Personally I'm calling bullshit on that but I never shot much with one so.

My big problem with the RMR is it's a scoop that will collect any shit around. I would never trust an RMR equipped pistol when I'm riding on the dirtbike/quad. And no I can't just "wipe the screen" since my gloves don't do shit and would probably be dirty anyway.

Gotta be honest, I actually prefer it without the can and without the RMR.
Can adds extra length and weight at the muzzle making it less comfy.
RMR is too obstructed by the irons to be useful, and the irons are too obstructed by the RMR to be useful. Also, you don't even need suppressor height sights to begin with with an osprey.
