My old setup replaced the camelbak with an alice pack, bk9, and a bunch of unneeded bullshit. The camelbak holds 1.5l of water, and an extra water bottle + a day of food. Pistol is OWB in the hip, holsters can either go in pocket, hip holster, or I can throw them in the small pocket on the chest rig. I've done all, I like them more on a hip holster but sometimes it gets in the way. Alternatively, if a 3 day bag isn't necessary I can always throw an extra 2 mags in the backpack, but I'd rather not. If 150 rounds of rifle ammo and 37 rounds of .40 don't get me out of town, I'm probably dead anyway.

Another water bottle or something can go in the extra pocket on the type 81, I have yet to decide what to put in it.

Don't know too much about available gear, but I'd like to mount about 6 mags on the pc along with a ifak and radio setup. Rest goes on belt, so I can drop my pc in camp and still have a sidearm, knife and multitool. I know literally nothing about battle belts, I've just been doing this on my regular belt lol.

It's really not that much with a plate carrier.

Assume a PC is 15 lbs, a rifle 8, and six mags about 6 pounds. That's almost 30 lbs right there, and that's without a pistol, pistol mags, and other fuckery.

40lbs is pretty lightweight for a full setup by .mil standards.

Pic very related. I started buying Flyye as a research project for budget friendly high quality gear. Most people default to Condor but Condor's issue is its materials primarily which is polyester. Flyye on the other hand is made using actual 1000D Cordura, YKK zippers, real Hypalon material, Duraflex buckles and licensed not knock off patterns.

If its good enough for the few Iraqis i talk to in ISOF, it'll be good enough for me. Have no doubts about the durability of Flyye gear. You know how everyone loves the Banshee? Great starter PC, budget friendly, made in America? Its shit compared to my FAPC Gen 2.

Two best places to get Flyye IMO are Shooter CB Gear, and Thunderhead Outfitters in Ohio. Let me know if you want to see pics of anything specific and if I have it I'll dump pics this evening or may be able to right now if I have them.

I have an hsg slimgrip

I loaded up like 20lbs of shit on it to test on a day hike and it was fine.

normal loadout is:
cobra buckle > 6" morakniv knife > jericho 941 fs > roll up dump pouch >24 count shotgun shell holder > radio > double mag pouch for pistol > single mag pouch holding flashlight

I just attached some surplus alice suspenders to it for shits and giggles, since I don't have a plate carrier/chest rig.
Working on figuring out how to jerry rig a hydration pack on the suspenders/belt securely. My nalgene fits perfectly into the dump pouch if I need water, but then I lose the dump pouch.

I'm basically trying to clear out space in my pack by putting essentials onto the belt.


Will probably swap shotshell pouch for the IFAK
