Generally everything they make tends to be comfortably average, Norinco AKs are decent, though the Polytech Legend line of AKs was incredibly nicely made, which you don't expect for a Chinese copy of an AK.

I don't know about their modern weapons but the type 56 is fucking boss.

Just going by experience, equipment made for the Chinese military, and later surplused is well made, its usually kinda rough but perfectly serviceable with middle ground performance.


Their export models tend to be udder dogshit. Some things like the AKs have a generous QC waver. Norinco products are usually workable but i doubt they would hold up in serious work. I have not tried a norinco m14.

No front sight blindness in sunny weather.
Same reason Finnish RK has open fron sights.
My Type 56s long barrel has a closed front sight tho.

This is my Chinese AK.

It was quite cheap and works well, I don't see why I should get something more expensive when this rifle hasn't let me down so far.

Yeah, the finish is quite bad, but overall it's a good price/quality relation.

They can.

Their made for export stuff is left to the wind QC wise, but the things they use themselves are usually good.

I had the choice between a chink SKS and a Yugo.

They both felt solid, though the finish on both was warn. but that's expected of old guns.

The only reason i picked the Yugo was because of the Length of pull on the chink was like it was made for a midget.
