Are there any countries that still issue swords to their officers?

The United States Marine Corps gives their officers swords I believe
>>31484443
NCOs too. Terminal Lance mentioned it once.

They make them buy them. It's a couple hundred bucks.
Most Marines never purchase it. Unless you do LSD and fight that Dragon in the commercial, like I did.

They are never issued to you. You simply rate to carry them as an NCO or Officer. All ceremonial of course. I am fairly certain other nations are the same way with swords.
a ceremonial weapon is not a real weapon

So I guess your dick doesn't count for much either, as it will never see its intended use.
The majority of them don't issue one. but they are an option for ceremonial occasions that you have to buy.

Is a kukri close enough?
Breddy sure the Gurkhas still get them issued.

It was a fucking balrog, you pog. This some stolen valor horseshit you trying?
>>31484663
Its safer that way since it lacks stopping power
>>31484621
Holy fuck I love that commercial
Brazil does, you receive one when you become an officer.

There were 2. One fighting a balrog over a lava pit.. but another where he climbs a mountain and fights a dragon.
All infantry here. You must have been an East coast marine.

Not capitalizing Marine?
Guess we know who the real valor stealing faggot is around here.
I have an NCO sword. Never got the damn frog or whatever to hold it
>>31484621
I don't remember the dragon one, but I'm sure it existed. Marines PR dept played a shitload of dungeons and dragons, methinks.
I remember this one most:
