Is a Smith & Wesson 627 V-Comp good for Conceal Carry?
Looks a little big for CC. Then again I am a manlet. How about you open carry it and get called autistic here on /k/!
Full size wheelguns are retarded for CC, fine for OC. Get something smaller.

Been thinking about getting one of these.
I own other C&B revolvers but I've never had one of these snubnoses.
Any of you chucklefucks shoot one?

Length isn't really the problem, it's more the width I'm worried about.
Also I want to CC since I don't like the idea of someone wrestling my gun out of my holster.
>>31481492
Oh I wasnt serious about open carrying, some people here just have a strong opinion about it and I was shitposting
>>31481665
Well people get all uppity about anyone trying to stand out in any way here, and OC is one surefire way to stand out. I don't think OC should be looked down upon but CC has it's definite tactical advantages.
>>31481681
I agree. I myself prefrr CC in our current society, but I'd prefer a society where everyone OC's and its a societal norm to see handguns on peoples sides.
To steer things more on topic, I cant speak for the 627 V-comp. But a 3-4" Sp101 sounds like a great option for you. Only five rounds but very compact, handles recoil well, and still in .357. It's the only .357 on the market I'd consider for CC
>>31481812
Hmmmm... I kind of want a dual-purpose hunting-handgun and CC, as I'm not a rich man and probably won't be able to get another gun for a good while.
>>31481091
the cylinder is as big as a m67 frag grenade
>>31481902
That seems like an exaggeration.
>>31481091
I doubt it, but it is sexy looking.
r8 pls don't h8
$430 at pawn shop
>>31481091
Not really. Unless you get something more like

Or

Or anything similar to revolvers from Civil War era stuff, you might as well get a little nylon holster for a Governor pistol. If I'm not mistaken, that loads six rounds and chambers/shoots the following:
.45acp
.45lc
.410g
Versatility ftw. Is a bit bulky, but with the right iwb sheath, I have faith it can be concealed considerably well.
You can also use a variation of the three rounds. You don't have to load it with just one of those rounds. You can load it with a variation of all three. Maybe even mark cylinder so you can spin to a preferred round for a particular situation.
I know a lot of guys who hunt that either carry the Governor or the Taurus Judge. People will tell you Taurus sucks, and I agree, but that mainly applies to their semi-auto clones. I'd still go with the Governor, as it can handle three variations whilst Judge only shoots .410g and .45lc
Looking at an M200 revolver for first gun, any thoughts lads?
>>31483230
Good. From what I've heard they're very reliable.
>>31481812
Well sometimes you just wanna be the cowboy with a 8 inch barrel strapped to your hip.
But I also wanna be able to go into McDonald's without every California reject in my state getting any bright ideas. But I've seen a few cops in casual dress OC before so maybe it'd be okay if I did it.
>>31481091
I'd open carry a big revolver like a GP100 if I could.
>tfw NJ
Just picked up a gp100 yesterday. Muh first .357 mag.
>>31485906
Ugh I wanna open carry that Ruger Blackhawk so bad.
4" s&W 500 magnum for concealed carry.
What do you guys think about the snowflake .480 Ruger?
>>31481171
I owned one but with the regular army handle and I'd prefer that.
Ask away.
Lacks FPS due to short barrel. Very nice in the hand points well. Really for same room or within 30 feet.
A pair of 44 army with 5' barrels is what goes with it and a roll out with a 12 inch barrel and carbine adapter and two space cylinders and a parts kit.
Considering the vintage this setup actually covers quite a set of options.
A full chamber under a 44 5'inch is devastating with a soft lead round ball.
>>31487124
Now remember the short barrel on that thing means you are *not* getting the same FPS. Its a same room weapon and if that is all you are carrying then carry a knife with it.
Like I say if you have that round it out with a pair of 44s, a long barrel and carbine stock parts and a moulds and some lead and you have quite a platform

>>31486717
Not the same anon, but...
>>31483215
>>31487192
Obvious bait aint so obvious.
I think he might be serious.
>>31481091
Nah senpai. Get a regular 627 with the 4 inch barrel. Much easier to CC. Get the V comp for competition or as stated previously OC. Really want to collect S&W 8 shot .357s when I get back stateside.
>>31487345
regular one is 5 inch, or is only the """pc""" model 5 inch. i think thats like the main model of it. i want one its sexy as fuck. the cylinder is seriously fuck huge i looked at some at bass pro.
>>31487124
>pair of 44 army with five-foot-long barrels
>>31487280
>not being a cowboy and OC'ing a 7.50' Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Casull and being capable of dropping a man at 100 yards.
Besides Joker's mistake was trying to CC.
