For a while I thought I was pretty tough. I hadn't shot anything more powerful than a 20 gauge that I thought was a 12 gauge at the time. Well I had a couple turkey loads laying around and asked a friend if he wanted to shoot them. He shot one and said he didn't wanna shoot anymore(he hadn't shot a 12 gauge, like me), I was like "Well, give me your shells, I'll shoot them."

After I shot my first shell I realized it kicked a fucklot more than I thought, and not wanting to look like a bitch, I shot off the rest of my shells and then shot his shells. My shoulder was sore as fuck, I couldn't lift my right arm more than horizontal for 3 days.

Because of that experience, I realized I wasn't hot shit, and that trying to act tough around firearms was pretty retarded.

It wasn't until almost a year later that I shot a mosin around 60 times, that I realized that I wasn't shouldering a gun right, I had it pressed up right on my shoulder bone before.

I always have a safety officer at the range.

"My" girl loves to go to the range with me, she only fired a handgun once (my G19) and didn't like it, but she loves ARs, and she's practically adopted my SPR as her own, so that's what she shoots whenever we go. She doesn't like red dots though, only scopes, so we usually shoot long range.

If we aren't doing that we're usually making sex.
