I just put a set of BFG KO2s on it and it looks mean as fuck. I'll take another pic when I get it dirty again, those tires were the "all terrain" street tires that come stock.

But, I'd still drive the fuck out of a mid-2000s v8 runner. I'd sure give less a shit about scraping against briars in one.

I love my taco, I've had it for 3 months or so and I'm sure Ill get another one when I trade this one in.

Agreed, that front end is hot as hell

>>31466566
If you go rubber bumper, they really aren't that bad. I picket that one up in high school for $4200, It needed a bit of work, but nothing terrible. It needed a new front bumper and new door panels and it would have been fine, but I added the correct rear bumper, headers/side pipes, and indy front spoiler.

I absolutely love it. I haven't had it terribly long, but I have yet to find something I just hate about it. If things stay like they're going, Ill be getting another one when I trade this one in.

I fucking know it man. It was my first vehicle, got it right after high school. That thing was my baby, I put over 150k miles on it, and many of those while being driven like your average high schooler. Despite all that, the only problem I ever had, that wasn't self-inflicted, was the power steering pump was starting to get weak.

I thought I would keep it forever, but I actually finally sold it a couple months ago. It was just rotting away sitting since I never really had a chance to drive it much after getting the runner. So I sold it to a guy I know and told him if he ever wants to sell it to give me first dibs.

This one has been a decade long project. All the hard brake lines had to be replaced. The Caddy engine and transmission were completely rebuilt. Also had to have the gas tank repaired. I've got more in the car than I could ever sell it for, which is fine. Once the interior is done, it'll be reliable enough to be a daily driver. In progress shot when it came back from paint.

Dude. DPM kits are like $350, barrels can be had for $300 if you look around; a guy on gunbroker has a company and he just had a batch go out; even if you lack the skills to do it yourself you could pay a pro to build it for you and come out at like $1500-2000 rather than 4K

Frequent Aut/o/ friend here.

If you want an old Corvette and are on a budget, C3 is the way to go. They made them from 68-82. While some of your special ones (72 and back, big blocks, and the 78 25th anniversary edition) do fetch high price tags, your garden variety 350 automatics can be had in decent condition for a reasonable price.

Plus, small blocks have an infinite aftermarket. And if you want to do an LS swap so your old vette' is actually fast (because why the fuck not), there's a lot of hardware available for that; you can install a standalone electronic fuel injection system or install an adapter kit/manifold for a carb and a simple MSD ignition kit.

I prefer the 78-82 because I like the fastback glass.

Or, if price is an issue, go for a c4 for like half the price, so instead of a gimped engine due to the introduction of "eco friendly" legislation you get an only mildly gimped engine that you're going to swap out anyway. But if you can afford an early c3, you get the c3

I have a personal distaste for the C4 unless it's a ZR1. If I wanted something newer, I'd just save up of a C5 and then I won't have to do an LS swap. LT-1s in the 92-96 models aren't bad so long as you can get past the opti-spark bullshit and expect only modest power gains from bolt-ons.

Base model C5s have LS1s and are in that nice point between "classic retro" and "new-ish" so they're largely ignored for C6s and pre-Fuel Crisis corvettes.

I don't have one but I researched them extensively because I wanted one (or a C3) for a long time. I got a son now and another on the way, so you can imagine what happened to my corvette aspirations.

My brother had a 94. Bought it in 2005. I borrowed it for a first date with who would eventually be my wife.

It was totalled last summer ago when he got t-boned by a drunk fucker in a Suburban.

Ripped everything in front of the firewall out, and if he hit not even two feet further back he'd probably be dead.

A Turbo 400 is a 3 speed auto.

The 4 speed was the 700R4.

there are cops and other such people who frequent /k/ who can access databases and can out your irl name if they feel like being a dick or just fuck with you.

that doesnt include the internet sleuths that have nothing better to do than track you down, so yeah best to be on the safe side, I mean, its not like 4chan has a habit of ruining peoples lives or anything like that...

I'm looking at picking up either a BG Legacy or a R50 Pathfinder.

>Redline it all the time
>Take right turns on country roads while doing 50 to see how far I can slide
>Accelerate to 35-40 before I hit speed bumps for shits and giggles
>Use the emergency brake to powerslide in abandoned quarries
>Do light offroading in state forests and farmers fields
>Had an F-350 smash into her while she was parked
>Has never given me any problems, ever
Car is literally indestructable. Pic related taken prior to all of the above.

I'm going to call BS on the first 2 and alright on the third. The 300k was only offered with a 413 Wedge and Chrysler never made a 396 Hemi. The 300k is a gorgeous car either way but the 400 wasn't available until 1965/1966 as an option on any Mopar.
