Just picked up this brand new YZ-775 from this smuggler we busted, still had the options brochures, pic related.

Long story short, I used my prize credits from the seizure to buy this baby for cheap. What should I kit her out with?

refit it for passengers, hire on a handful of bozos to crew the thing and kick back as it rakes in money for no effort. worlds with a middle class are fantastic for making money of people who want to pretend to be rich

This is a good idea, I'll have to talk to my Lambda driver friend, and see if he wants a gig when he musters out.

On another note, has anybody seen the specs on the new TIEs? holy shit.
>>
>>31461007
only problem is that the YZ-775 is popular with smugglers and rebels and high level imperial agents. And im sure you're not high level if you got this off a smuggler.

Just get ready to be detained every time you enter a new star system until your data comes through the holo link.

I at least hope you've done the paperwork to have the ship's registry wiped clean, cause i'll bet you ten credits that the ship has shoot to kill orders placed on it in at least three systems given that it's a smuggler ship
>>
>>31461007
Check everything. If it was made this year it was made under an imperial embargo, which means shortages and the company that made it needing to cut corners like crazy to keep the lights on.

Get the permits for quad lasers and torpedo tubes. Don't waste your time on ion cannons or turbolasers. Anything big enough you need turbolasers and ions for will push your shit in. Focus on anti fighter and run from anything bigger than a tartan class.

Which ones? There's quite a few on the way, many of which were probably designed after the consumption of excessive quantities of absinthe.
>>

How do you mess up a jump that badly? 100 credits isn't bad. I'd pay. I'd rather not piss off the Hutts.

This.

Based ETA-2
>>
>>31461654
hahahah yes. Unless you took some of the stuff in their private property or saw something that you shouldn't have seen (and was thus seen as a corporate spy), you are free to enter their space. You just gotta leave if asked to, ask for permission to enter (which you couldn't have since it was a mistake).

It also depends on the mining guild. If its say a Mandelorian or Hutt front its better than have your ship in their blacklist. But if its say a backwater one, they don't have the resources to pursue you and you just gotta place a marker next time you jump near their turf.
>>

Sounds more like banking clan tricks.

to add, you can always contact your local Imperial nav center (or rebel one if you're in insurgent territory) to get an update on your nav system. It might seem costly considering its a one time thing, but the nav update should last you at least ten years and will prevent you from wasting more money when you accidentally wander into a restricted area.

The A-Wing is actually a successor design to the ETA-2 and V-Wing. But the Rebels took off the heavy armor, shielding and missile tubes to boost the engines. That kind of makes me angry because the V-Wing is pure sex.

Hey /k/,

Any of you guys know what ship this is? Im stationed on an ISD and we picked it up on our sensor array a few days ago. I have never seen this configuration of star cruiser before. We lost track of it just after we detected an anomaly in the same sector
>>
>>31461921
>successor design
To the R-22 Spearhead. The factory-standard model has no parts in common with the Eta-2 or V-wing.

>took off the heavy armor, shielding and missile tubes to boost the engines
What are you on about? The A-wing still has shields and missiles. And it's hyperdrive-equipped, much easier to park, and simple enough that you and some buddies can put one together in a garage.
>>
>>31461908
What kinda condition? Blaster broker will never have good ones. I'd just keep trolling local blaster stores. There's a guy on Utapou that usually has them.

YZ-775 bro here, its a confirmed glitch in the systems. I saw it back when I was a petty officer, but I thought they patched it out. Purge your sensor buffer and have the watch astromech get in there and rewire the sensor junction. The droid'll know which one.

>>

I've heard some of A-Wings even have wood in the cockpits since most old ones are hand built.
>>
Have you guys heard the rumors about (((Skywalker))) coming out of hiding?
>>
>>31462108
The old Mk I models? Oh yeah. Quality was all over the place and maintenance was a pain in the ass but a good Mk I with a set of Event Horizons is a keeper for sure.
>>
>>31461960
In Legends EU, I was talking about canon. They are the direct successor of the eta-2 and V-wing from Kuat Drive Yards. The R-22 Spearhead does not exist in new canon. They're not as heavily armored as the factory model. The Rebels stripped out the good weapons to boost engine speed.
>>
>>31461999
Well see the thing is we purged the system three times. My CO said he saw it on a sensor scan when he was a Lt. during the Clone Wars. Even after we purged the system the ship was still there. We couldn't have been chasing a system glitch across six sectors of space?
>>
>>31462129
I'll keep that in mind next time my escort TIEs are trying to blast them.
>>
>>31462123
Don't post that shit here, imperials are about. Secure channels only.
>>
>>31462143
Generally /k/ doesn't use the new canon for ships since it deleted basically all the cool capital ships and other fun ships. Same thing with the threads being set. somewhere between IV and V
>>
>>31462143
>direct successor of the eta-2 and V-wing from Kuat Drive Yards.
>Even though it looks nothing like the Eta-2, which is quite clearly the predecessor to the TIE Interceptor
>Even though the V-wing looks nothing like the A-wing
Come on, nucanon writers, just because all three were interceptors, doesn't mean they have to somehow be connected.
>>
>>31462162
I wouldn't worry about it.
>>
>>31462162
Did you get the astromech to rewire the junction? If that doesn't work, you need to clean the data bus, and that's gonna take your entire watch a full shift and a half do get that done. Also, you really ought not be doing that when underway, so...
>>
>>31460770
Is now a good time to enlist as an 11G? On one hand, free tuition, but on the other hand I'd be dying for the jedi. I've heard the jawa's have been building up a clanker army, and I don't want to die from an automated tank. Can anyone confirm or deny these rumors?
>>
>>31462203
Depends on the BUS. Main sensor BUS you shouldn't touch but individual senor areas are fine to reset underway.

Its still a bitch and a half to do though.

We did all of that, literally everything on record about this ship and it being a "sensor system glitch" Nothing worked. The ship began orbiting a small star system that's not under Imperial control so we stopped as well and began the system patches. We ran the tests three times over the course of 2 and a half days while stationary in space. We finished the tests right as the ship was on the move again

>deleted basically all the cool capital ships and other fun ships
A good majority of ships are recanoized. Tarkin alone brought back Victory star destroyers, Secutors, Interdicors ships, Ton-Falk carriers, bulk cruisers and a dozen other ships. Even Rebels has hardcore tabletop fans adding in shit like the Qausar carrier.

>>31462196
The V-Wings general body looks exactly like an A-Wing. But the general idea is that KDY looked the interceptors that worked during the Clone Wars and decided to make it better. You can see this in the A-Wing's design. But the connectivity come from Lucas. ARC-170's were X-Wing predecessor, V-Wing's A-Wings and TIEs predecessor too. I think it's better thought out this way. The R-22 was a literal retcon to explain why we saw A-Wings when writers made their own history.
>>
>>31462304
We attempted to send a message and we did retrieve an audio transmission. It was very garbled and only one word came through clear, but it doesn't really help because its a word I have never heard before. It was Enterprice? Onterprice? Enterprise, thats it the only thing that came through clear was the phrase "Enterprise". I wonder what it means

The silhouettes are completely different. According to Wookieepedia, the A-wing has a longer and wider spaceframe, too. There's also nothing on the A-wing's canon page about it being a descendant of the Eta-2 or V-wing.

>writers made their own history
That's still what's happening. The Rebels team just has a different backstory.

I'm going to give you a good tip and tell you not to get information from wookieepedia. They have been notoriously bad updating their canon pages. A good bulk of pages are simply outdated and running on non-canonical information purely out of spite at this point. Me and several anons have been banned or reverted trying to give the Wook accurate information.

>That's still what's happening
I'm talking about back in the day where there was no storygroup to tell authors the whats and what nots. A lot of EU material are retcons because authors made major mistakes. we have literal ships and characters to explain discrepancy. One of the storygroup members made a mention someone wanted to kill Cham Syndulla off but another author wanted to use him and they fixed the situation before everything went to print and shooting.
