There are two front notches. In the rear above the ammo feed there is a dark colored strip, it doesn't stick up but thats a feature you can use to line the weapon up.

The Caster Gun from Outlaw Star wasn't very well-designed, but the concept was pretty interesting, at least.

Try again. The development of the rifle was under Israeli consultants from IWI (Known as IMI at the time) and has alot of design and function influences from the Galil. Not to mention that the early Galil prototypes used stamped recievers instead of milled until they decided to choose the latter since the Israeli stamped receivers couldn't handle the pressure loadings of 5.56 NATO.

Redux is pretty great in my opinion, implimented the gameplay improvements and graphics overhauls that are even better than Last Light.
