I have put about 30km on it because it isn't registered yet. I have taken it to a coffee shop about a mile from my apartment. Mostly just driving around to see if any issues pop up. So far the right carb float got stuck once, flooded a little probably due to the rough ride in a bouncy trailer after I bought it, and the turn signal flasher relay died and needed replacing. Easy fix

How you like your Ural so far, man? How'd you find out about them, decide upon getting one?

I've always wanted like a dnepr since I was in high school. About two months ago I passed by a Ural in town, just saw it for a second but I was like man that shit is tight and it reinvigorated my interest. Don't really exactly how the Ural
Popped in my head but I found one about 6 hours away, so I loaded up a trailed and went out and bought it. Getting it registered this week finally so I can drive it on the roads.

It drives funny, pulls right when I accelerate and pulled left when I brake. It doesn't drive like a motorcycle and neutral is impossible to find and shifting takes a hefty stomp, but it's stupidly cool. Plus I like that the carbs are exposed so when I inevitably need to Do work on them, I won't have to tear down the bike every time I test a setting

I didn't know if maybe you were the anon from a month or two ago that I talked to about buying one. I'm the dude from last night that has a Ural. Everything you describe is normal, especially the pulling. Funny thing is I had never rode a motor cycle before I got my Ural. It was crazy when I rode a motorcycle for the first time. It's good that you don't mind turning wrenches, you'll be doing that a fair amount. I would recommend carrying a small tool box with you. Also, you may want to stock a few spares for things that are common/likely to fail. I wasn't that far from a dealer when I first got it but where I live now it's like 4 1/2 hours away and the people there suck, that aside it has taken me 2 months to get replacements.

You haven't taken it off road yet, have you?

Those are just 7inch lcd panels I use for various applications(TS, Steam, Music player, Skype, Browser if mains in use, and for Helios, UltraMFCD data export for sims.)

Yeah I kinda thought so too when I got the idea to add them. Originally got them for a cockpit project but then VR hit so screw that. Saw they would be useful just as extra application monitors and for non VR sims still of course.. Adding another up top that will be 10 inch 16:9 ratio on a flew gooseneck mount I think matching main screens. Should work out good.
