Can anybody with a g code holster tell me if the RTI shit rattles? And if so, is there enough tolerance so I can just spray the little nubbins with plastidip or something?
Got 800 bucks to spend on one or more things for self defense/fun/when shtf or whatever.
I'm in the natty guard so I'm familiar with the m4 and m9 so I was thinking to just buy that, but I dunno.
I could always just keep saving up and next month work with 1600.
WHAT BUY

>national guard
>cant think for himself
>tell me what i should want
seems right

I'd know better but I was never raised around firearms and my only experience is using them to qualify.
I really have no use for one, but I want a use. I don't go hunting but I might see if I can manage a trip in 2017, and range time for me is typically a drag.
Basically I'm trying to justify one to myself, but I'm not sure what, or how
>>31433773
Why the fuck are you looking to buy a gun if you can't do anything but justify how little you want anything to do with them
go invest in knitting needles
>>31433914
Good point. I never really shoot outside of iwq. Idk if I'm noguns because I have no guns or if I don't care about guns.
I figured having a rifle would mean I'd get out there and shoot but who knows, thx family. I'll grab an ar because it's good to have one and I can up my score.
>>31433914
>implying 90% of owning a gun isn't for the satisfaction of owning one.
>>31433986
This is also a good point. It might be cool to go down range with a baby that I've customized myself. I'm thinking fde
>>31433430
My gcode is solid. As for the RTI qaulity? Zero rattles were given
Did Ruger make a green stock for the 10/22?
Picked one up at a fun show for $20 - boomer at the table tried telling me it was from a Ruger collector's stash. Light green outside, non-laminated, regular wood color inside where it's covered by the gun internals. No recoil pad, just a black plastic end cap.
What's this pocket for? Not the belt slot, the vertical one. I've seen photos of guys with bayonets in there but it seems really retarded and uncomfortable to do that.

AR-15 and M9 is a fine combo.
There is also no reason to buy anything other than an AR-15 in modern America if you're looking for an exclusively practical intermediate rifle. If you want .308 for hunting reasons or what have you, then an AR-10 is for you.
As for the pistol there are a ton on the market for about the same price. I personally like USP's and Glocks, but the M9 is a fine pistol.

Does anyone know anything about High Standard revolvers?
My dad left me with a .22lr revolver, he bought it out of some guy's trunk in the 70's

>yfw /k/ is so shit with shotguns that they don't know 20 gauge has harder recoil on a time variable basis
>recoil on a time variable basis
In reference to someone insinuating 20 gauge is for women, runts, and the like, implying he needed a 12.

drill a hole for the curve, use a dremel with a cut off wheel or a hacksaw to cut the sides of the slot from the hole to the back, bend that tab back and cut it off. file clean and enamel paint.

I've got the option of buying a Ruger Mini-14 for under $400. It's got a derpy looking tacticool folding stock (looks like the Butler Creek one?) and comes with a couple of 30 round mags marked LE-only.
Do I buy it? I've heard you guys don't like Mini-14s, but this seems stupid cheap for what it is.
>>31438880
A vengeful Cowboy. But you were bad but have a good heart and a new life. You want to start a family.
>>31441308
the main problem with the mini 14 is the price. The cheapest I've seen one is $550, so it sounds like a good deal.
aftermarket stocks are usually around $100 If the tacticool one really bothers you.

Are there any documented diy builds of someone making a buffer-less AR-15? Basically a diy LR-300.

>>31444238
You made a shitposter
>>31444104
Sure, you just need to find an upper with the right spring assembly. A starting point would be a RRA LAR PDS Pistol upper, but there are plenty like that around.
A semi auto weapon needs a recoil spring, and if it ain't in the buffer tube, it's gotta be somewhere, so you will need a specialized upper for a bufferless AR build.
Would cast brass frames be strong enough for .22LR pistol.

I don't see why not as long as the barrel is good
What do you guys think of AR pistols?
