No actually. Most of the indoor ranges have that policy and the outdoor range I go to prohibits them for the exact reason I stated. People use to stack them by the door but most caught on in a few years.

I've don't it before, OP. I didn't have a case and was impatient and wanted to take it to the range. The big PSA logo on the side gave away what it was if you read it, but watching me carry target stands and targets to the car would have done the same. It depends on the range rules. One of mine gives no fucks and I just wear mine in. The other requires a bag or case with unloaded magazines because they are douchebags. They also make you watch a safety video. Then there's the huge 15 acre outdoor range with 15 shooting areas where you're across the lake from machinegun fire and you can do whatever you want. I like that place.
