Few tips:
Eye needs to be further dwon, nose sticking out too far, thumb doesn't really wrap around, is supposed to rest on top, and the middle, ring, and pinky fingers are a bit too thin.
But it's better than what i could do.

They did come into being at about the same time: G36 went into service in 1997 and XM8 was designed in 2002.

XM8 also began life as the lower half of the XM29 OICW, but after that fell through the programs were split into the XM8 and the XM25 (I could see XM8 being insanely jealous of XM25's adoption by the US military)

ok so heres some examples of 1 point perspective and 2 point perspective. you have a horizon line and 1 or more vanishing points, with the vertices of the objects you draw, pointing out into the distance where those vanishing points are. what you don't see here, and i should have included is that when you draw an object, you are including the sides that you cant see. you are drawing through. (if you dont know what i mean ill make an example tomorrow) anyways, you can see how the treads or wheels of the tank are built up with construction lines going from corner to corner on our rectangle. then you can break down those smaller secions with the circle drawing method ive included. now you have wheels. now you can take this breakdown and apply it to your two point perspective of your tank and it will build up your wheels in perspective. your circles will be properly skewed and will vanish to the horizon line.

i hope ive done a good enough job of explaining it. the picture should be pretty clear. the real take away is that of you can draw a rectangle you can draw a tank. you just need to come up with ways to break down your object that can be easily put into perspective. it can be simple like my ms paint garbage, or it can be complicated.
