French weapons are under appreciated lets show them some love WWI & WWII prefered
French guns you say?
That's basically my battery signal.
I really need some more french in my arsenal.
That's including another 49/56, but in the correct caliber.
308 is nice and easy to find, but the gun isn't exactly the same as the original before it's cut down a bit.

Bring your wallet, they're expensive these days.

>buying a cuck gun
>from a loser nation
>ever
I instantly lose respect for anyone who owns a gun made for a cuck country like France. Perhaps the reason betas are drawn to such deficient weapons is because they can relate so well with a history of being weak and beaten.
>>31385549
>>31386719
This. French "guns" shouldn't even be considered guns.
>>31386737
LOL
This is my orginal ww2 Era weapon
>>31386719
>le ebic post XD
>>31385549
Ah the french, good people and equipment with terrible leadership...
Look at them today before they're all muslims.
>>31386744
a white flag holder is only one of their functions though, doesn't mean it won't kill you dead all the same
>>31386462
Is that a FAMAS?
ITT: surrenderboos getting BTFO
RIP FAMAS you were the last thing that held france together i will cry when theyre destroyed
Pretty good condition: never fired, dropped once.
ITT: samefag trying to push the tired old "le surrenderfags" joke when the frogs made some breddy cool fucking guns

>implying
>>31385584
talk me out of rebarreling my MAS 36 for 308, i can't get a good pic of my bore but it was rusty as shit when i got it and i've gone thouygh almost half of a bag of patches and they still come out with rust on them.
the lands and grooves are still pounced, just not sharp.

>>31385549
Check out my surrenderstick
>>31387734
One heck of a shotgun
>>31387510
Where do you intend on getting the .308 barrel from?
>>31385549
Do they come with white breach flags?
>>31387510
Well if you're hoping for accuracy you're not going to get it. Fucking with those screws fucks with the bedding of the rifle. Plus you'll be spending at least $300 on a $500 gun to get something worse than a $300 gun. You'll also have feeding problems because the case head of the 308 is smaller than that of the 7.5.
>>31387734
Is that a FAMAS?
>>31386786
No, thats a 40 mm colt koch!
>>31387734
Are ou the anon that invested for the RIA FAMAS Auction?
>>31387830
Just look at how worn out it is, clearly it's some military fag showing his service weapon, it's not actually his gun.
>>31387830
Doubt the ones you get in the US have that switch

I feel sorry for France sometimes. They once had an empire, nearly conquered all of Europe, and to this day retain one of the fiercer fighting spirits around.
But in one war, they put too much faith in a defensive line that got bypassed and they were beaten. They knew it and surrendered, even though some French still fought a resistance.
Half a century later America gets pissed off at some ragheads and France declines to assist, probably because it wasn't their fight.
So suddenly idiots like you perpetuate this meme of the French being pushovers who are Italian-tier combatants.
>>31387734

>F1
I didn't think those were still kept in service
>>31387748
for the cheap route, a remington 700 takeoff barrel has the same thread pitch and nearly the same diameter, then i'd have a gunsmith cut the threads to the exact diameter and possibly reprofile some of the barrel so i can still use the furniture.
for the expensive route, a 308 barrel blank:
cut to lenght,
cut the threads,
cut the chamber,
cut the profile,
cut the crown.
and, all in all, it would be rather expensive.
>>31387772
bought the gun at an auction for $100 sight unseen.
it's 0.0132" larger, are you saying that's why the mas 49/56 conversions don't work?
what about .243 winchester?
what about a mas 49/56 barrel?
i've got the have options here
>>31388004
Why would you even think otherwise? Why do you think there is even a tender for a replacement?
That's right. It never got replaced.
>>31388033
>What is the G2
>>31388084
A navy exclusive gun made in relatively low quantity.
>>31388094
Goddamnit France, what are you doing.
>>31388026
Yes, that's why the 49/56 conversions don't work (well, the biggest reason anyways). If you can still see solid lands and grooves just go through it with a bronze brush and penetrating oil.
>>31385549
I got a french rifle from ww1 only dropped once. Pretty great gun.
>>31385549
Nice looking rifle. Has a charming ugliness about it like the Mosin.
Seems like it's kind of short, the french were still wildly aggressive during ww1. I guess this was easy to run at MG nests with.
I'm wondering, for those who had the chance of shooting both the Lebel and Berthier, which was your favorite?
>>31387959
Losers that refuse to pull themselves up deserve no sympathy.
>>31388681
Lynch yourself.
>>31388680
Berthier by far. The Lebel is cool but a huge pain in the ass to get to work properly. Of course it may have something to do with them being over 120 years old and all going through WW1 but still. The elevator for the rounds sucks and so does the tube spring.
Otherwise the bolt is very smooth and the trigger surprisingly nice.
Love my MAS-36 best 200 bucks I ever spent
>>31389906
Not really a french gun but I also have some French made 30-06 of various types
>CAPTCHA is Arret
>>31389924
Here is some M1949 Ball and some non Cupro M2. And then a box of WRA made for the Dominican Republic
Docteur Pavel, je suis GIGN
>>31389989
Les Bains?
Should I buy a sporterized Mle-36 and make an FR-F2 clone?
>>31390015
les amener à bord, je vais l'appeler dans
>>31389862
Ok, thanks for the input.
I was curious as to why French troops seemed to have in most cases favored the Lebel over the Berthier when the latter was brought in the units as replacement.
Though it may have mostly to do with the pre-Mle.1916 ammo capacity as, in the end, the 5-rounds models of the Berthier did become the main rifle of the WW2 French army.
>>31387734
Fuck, the only thing still holding it together are a few remaning flakes of paint.
I will miss seeing these worn fuckers in the hands of passing by vigipirate guys that are barely half their age. Sure the 416 will be an improvment but it's a matter of national pride.
The Famas was one of the last reminder of a lost area.
