I'm gonna restart my writefagging from the last thread if you guys don't mind

Plot summary for what I'm writefagging. It's a GATE doujin.

This story follows a USAF Pararescue unit that is at Yokota AFB in Tokyo, Japan. They were at stuck at the air base due to complications with weather, when all of a sudden the Gate opens. Much of the city is overrun by a strange powerful enemy from another world. They hear from communications that there are civilians trapped in a mall deep within enemy territory. Due to them being the only SOF unit in the area and this mission being within their specific skill set, they volunteer to go and rescue the civilians. During this mission they live up to their motto "That Other's May Live"

Thinking of switching things up to having the isekai LN dude end up infantry instead of innatank. I wrote some stuff last week about him as the loader, and it ended up okay-ish.

I feel like an infantry platoon would give the same opportunity for banter and a little more variety in action sequences.

If I do that, I think I might have the infantry platoons instead of using that flapper-locked sturmgewehr I drew earlier, use a mix of bolt-action/funky semi-autos and machine guns. That way, there can be an element of assymetry to the fights, in that the enemy tanks are inferior, but against assault rifles, the protagonists are at a disadvantage. And infantry makes war-is-hell, war crime shit a little more organic to the plot (rather than rehashing The Beast of War)
