Been eyeing revolvers for some time now. Ruger just released a new gp100 talo, pic related. I like everything about it other than the unfluted cylinder. Thinking maybe just go with the regular gp100 six inch and add wood grip later if I really want it. What do you guys think?
how big is the clip

The pawn shop I work for has a gp100 for 600.

You've outed yourself as a pleb.
Unless you're dead set on a 6" barrel, I'd look at the match champion. Last time I checked, they looked pretty reasonable on gunbroker.

I was very close to jumping on a match champion but the slab sides are meh, I'm not crazy about the half lug profile and I cannot find anyone that makes tritium sights for it, the dovetail on the front blade is smaller than the standard gp100.
That is a fantastic looking revolver. I'd love to have it.

I want a match champion but the massive laser etched logo on the barrel is hideous

>doesn't like slab barrels and unfluted cylinders
holy shit nigger.

This makes me miss my GP100. I had a blued one and it was my favorite gun. Sold it though along with some shittier guns when I was in need of some money. I should've just whored myself out instead desu.

basically this. i like the slab sides but dont dig on the half lug and shitty laser engraving. i got my hands on one the other day and the trigger seemed shittier and grittier than a plain-jane gp100.
the wiley clapp ones look cool too, but they don't make either variation in a 4-inch barrel. i think i'll just end up buying a blued 5" one and changing the grips and sights to get one to my liking.

Go with the second option. New grips are cheaper than a different cylinder.

Damn that's an ugly gun. And if I know ruger, there's probably a huge lawyer warning on the passenger side. The redhawk is a little better, but if I were going to buy such an obsolete gun as a revolver it had better be aesthetically pleasing.
I'm slightly more a fan of the SP-101. The GP-100 just seems needlessly bulky to me, for .357.
Though if you want a barrel over 4.20", you don't really have a choice.
But 4.20 is clearly the most dank barrel.
I really want this revolver now.
you want the blued model with wood grips

It looks great, but I prefer the OP.
