There's literally nothing wrong with stronger background checks if they're implemented properly. As long as they remain constitutional, they pretty much serve no purpose other than giving the gun-control fags a "win" and getting them off our backs for a while. Hell, it could be used in a compromise - "stronger background checks" for removing SBR's and suppressors from the NFA, for instance.

And even if he is pushing for more gun control, I'd rather have someone who understands guns doing that than an idiot like, say, Feinstein. At least the former can be reasoned with.

>Stronger background checks
Anyone with two brain cells can either pass or find someone to pass a background check. The irony and intent of background checks and waiting periods is to put a stumbling block in the way of normal law abiding citizens who don't autistically know all state and federal gun laws to avoid getting buttfucked.

Just today at my gun store
>Tyrone and co come in
>Tyrone 1 with CC permit wants $300 Taurus millennium
>All good to cash and carry because of our retarded state laws being superceded by government issued good boy CC permit
>Other associate asks whether his driver's license is his current address
>Stupidly admits it isn't and is his grandfathers
>Doesn't have new address on any government issued identification
>Cant buy gun because now that we know our FFL would be assraped if it came to light/Tyrone would be committing a felony by falsely putting his old information on the form
>Even though he's a card carrying "not a felon" who paid the state $140 for the privilege
>Mfw current address isn't even transmitted during the background check and all they ask for is place of birth, name, birthday, sex/race, and state residence/citizenship

As far as the liberals plan to keep niggers disarmed the system works perfectly. Needing state ID with address information and state residency paperwork is racis and specifically designed to restrict the rights of the poor lacking stable living environments.

The democrats are the ones going 'murica!'. The repubs are in shock.

The problem with the bills attempting to introduce national law for background checks is the Dems keep trying to sneak in shit like "no more 30-06/.50 rifles," or "no more salt weapons" or "no more 30rd magazines" and similar horse-shit.

My state has background checks, and aside from like, one thing I disagree with, they're pretty fair and understandable to me.

The one thing I disagree with being
>oh haha, you got caught with weed? Nogunz 4 u

>you have medical mary jane card? Haha, nogunz 4 u
Take that away and/or add
>you're presctibed oxycontin? No guns 4 u

Just throwing what I think out there.

It is our right as law-abiding citizens to own firearms and ammunition, looking at it from a rudimentary standpoint. Following that, I would personally say that unless you are a felon, are obviously insane or otherwise challenged mentally in such a way that prevents proper firearms safety, or of course denied by the owner of the store for whatever reason, then you cannot purchase a firearm, accessory, or ammunition. If you are none of those, then you can purchase whatever firearm, ammunition type, or accessory you desire without a background check, and without a waiting period or delay of any sort, unless it is a store-related matter, of course.

I also understand that an unlawful or insane person could potentially have a sane, law-abiding citizen purchase a firearm for them. If this were the case, and something bad were to happen, then the fault would lie only in the person using the firearm (unlawful/insane citizen), and the person with awful judgement that supplied the firearm for whatever reason (sane, law-abiding citizen). Bad things will continue to happen, and bad people will continue to roam about, but background checks of any sort (An unnecessary breach of privacy and a hindrance regarding your right to make said purchases), nonsensical regulations/restrictions regarding firearms and all things related, and the registry of firearms and all things related will not cease that. It only weakens and criminalizes law-abiding citizens.

>are you delusional or just insane?

In regards to what?

In regards to Republican talking points. The Dems grabbed a bunch from the republicans. In particular the "USA! USA! USA!, "American exceptionalism", "American values!" "Country #1, 'murica!"

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/conservatives-agree-dnc-was-disaster-for-gop

In regards to the republicans being at each others necks? Do you really think the republican business establishment, the religious conservatives, and the libertarian-republicans really are that much into Trump?

What with Ron Paul saying people should vote libertarian party. Ted Cruz and certain others not endorsing Trump and such. While the democrats have been particularly co-operative as of late.

Just you wait, as week as Hillery is as a presidential candidate, she might still win. But I'm certain the Senate will go blue, even with a president Trump. And what it is coming down to is that while Trump may be the stronger candidate, the Democrats are overall the stronger party in this election cycle, mostly because of Trump himself.

Because it's not the fucking enemy you need to sway, you troglodyte. The people on the fence or in the middle are larger than both of the other sides combined. When you look normal and present your facts like a well-adjusted human being, you have a better chance of someone coming to your side instead of screaming "HANG THEM" in front of someone who can only see the surface of the ideology you're wading in waist-deep.

The thing that's already performed?

Secret: If you have no prior offenses (Your suicide strike is your first and only offense) You will pass any background check baring a direct tie to terrorists, which is even subjective.

A background check can only do so much, no matter how thorough. Enforcement of the laws we already have would turn up better results.
>>
>>31379245
Background checks do nothing to reduce crime, they are failed bad laws.

Ideally we'd get rid of them, but that's going to take a long time to accomplish with advocacy.

I will not support more stringent background checks, because that would be doubling down on a bad law that inconveniences the citizenry for no safety benefit.

None of my traditionally democrat neighbors have any signs out this year. One house that had a 3'x5' Obama Biden sign in 08 has a tiny little Gary Johnson sign this year. Most of the Republican houses have signs for local and state candidates. I'm seeing Trump signs in the yards of people who don't normally have signs out.

Lots of young people with MAGA hats.

I predict that everything stays pretty stalemated this fall, seems like everyone thinks that the problems are all caused by everybody except their guy.

Maybe low turnout makes something weird happen, but I bet most incumbents will win and a close Trump victory.

I just hope Gary gets 15%.

Not because I like him or his running mate, but because it'd be nice for the Ls to get major party status.

However much I disagree with the guy's views, I'm pretty confident that someone who is familiar with firearms is at the very least far less likely to push for nonsensical bullshit like what went down in CA over the summer.

Measures that limit harmless features on firearms and criminalize law-abiding citizens while doing nothing to curb crime.

Eh there is a reason for it anon.

Universal background checks means that if you can't perform them, you can't sell shit. So gun shows or just selling your gun to somebody because you want to get rid of it will become a chore. This is not bad by itself if the law provides alternative ways of performing them that aren't horribly inconvenient. I can't think of such alternatives but if you find a way then sure.

However the problem lies in the law itself. And it's not exactly intentional.

I'll give you this question - what crime, should make it impossible for you to EVER get a gun? How long should "temporary" bans for "lesser" crimes last?

It is a headache for legislator. You literally can't make honest law about background checks because of it, there will always be somebody who's been fucked up by you innocently.
>>31379341

>>
>>31384215
How about a guy who has beaten somebody heavily? Is he safe with gun or is he too dangerous to have one?

At first I wanted to say about knife stabbings but I saw "weapon" so... yeah.

Then you have things like family abuse. Or very good one - drug dealing - drug dealers may be part of the organised crime world so you'd rather restrict them from it. On the other hand plenty of people who are just your average junkies get convicted for drug dealing because they've had some big amount of stuff.

How about repeated crimes?

As I've said, it's not that simple.

Nothing in this section expands or restricts the Secretary's authority to inquire into the disposition of any firearm in the course of a criminal investigation.
Nevertheless, the ATF Firearms Tracing System (FTS) contains hundreds of millions of firearm tracing and registration records, and consists of several databases:

I completely agree.

I seriously think we need stronger, federal background checks (criminal, mental, monetary) to prevent the Tyrone's and Lanza's of the world from buying their future murder weapons. Look at pic fucking related if you don't believe that we to stop mental fucks from buying guns.

Also as a former-marine I think that getting a CC license is WAY too lax, you should have to demonstrate excellent marksmanship at multiple range tests and go through one of those tactical academies that show you how to take cover, fastdraw, etc, and maybe go through like a week or two long class covering everything. Untrained civilians with guns is a recipe for innocents getting shot (either themselves or others) and all the time, money, and background checks spent on this means that it weeds out the fuckups with a n***** killing complex that wants to play soldier on our streets in peacetime.
>>
>>31394523
>Lanza's of the world from buying their future murder weapons
Reminder that with Lanza's mental health history he couldn't buy a gun anyways.

His mother got him, took him to another state, took him off his meds, let him stew in a blacked-out room with just the internet, and even straw bought him a .22.

Which he murdered her with, stole her AR-15, and went to Sandy Hook with.

Omar Mateen had several background checks and licenses/permits.

James Holmes was never put into the system, despite telling people who should have done something about it that he was obsessed with killing.

The systems are already there on the firearms side, the problem's that mental health care is basically decrepit now and nothing's getting reported to NICS like it should.

theres 3 ways to do it actually
from below the breast

from the nipple, which does what you stated

from the armpit which leaves no scar near the breast

idk how much money she makes but given she uses her body to make money then she should have paid more for it.

pot smokers make shitty decisions just like pill poppers and booze drinkers. you might think your mind is being expanded but the rest of us are laughing at you.

pot smokers are just as big a problem as any other substance abuser.

gosh! its almost as if it has nothing to do with safety or crime prevention!
>>

laws only bother the law-abiding, kid.

what makes you think a wannabe jarhead washout like yourself should own a firearm? you're obviously mentally defective and bordering on pathology

Giving you what you want while surrendering our rights is not a compromise.

That's the opposite of a compromise. It's a surrender.

>b-b-b-b-b-but we'll give you suppressors!

Those weren't yours to take to begin with, faggot. What about this topic is so complex for you people?

ANY negotiation for gun rights needs to start at the beginning. Repeal EVERYTHING and start from there, then we can talk.

Regardless of your ill-informed opinions regarding the character of drug users there is no rationalization for denying cannabis users their right to bear arms. Cannabis raises inhibitions and makes people less prone to violence by its very method of action. Drunk people make dangerous decisions because their brains are hopped up on inhibitory neurotransmitters which makes the danger seem both more remote and less serious; cannabis has the opposite effect.

You can see this in the (few) studies done on driving while under the influence of cannabis; users drive slower and are more cautious compared to both drunk and sober people. Not that I would legalize stoned driving; it still impairs reaction time and short-term memory.

This.

I would trade background checks (stricter one than we have now) if they lifted all AWBs and removed the NFA.

DESU I would jump thru as many hoops as they wanted if it meant I could get to a point where I could build/buy anything I wanted without any permission slips (form 1s, form 4s, etc)

daily reminder that the background check is a good idea. i dont want criminals or other assholes with guns.

t. p2a democrat
>>
>>31380863

that is technically correct, however, the FFL retains the 4473s and not the BATF.

the only person who knows you owns guns is the FFL.
>>
>>31381171

this.

4473 needs to be changed in those states or get the marijuana question off the 4473

>have you used marijuana?
>yes because i have a prescription for it a state that has legal medical marijuana
>lol kek that sucks dude, no guns 4 u big guy but we can sell this rifle to an alcoholic who beats his wife and kids

tl;dr 4473 is FUCKED
