What's up /k/, what's the general consensus on CZ's? I've never held one let alone fired one, but I do enjoy heavier framed handguns that fire 9mm cartridges because they have minuscule recoil. I have fired a P226 Legion before and it was a dream. The DA/SA was very nice compared to striker action handguns. For some reason CZ's have always keened my interest, and they're sexy.

I currently only own one firearm, a Gen4 Glock 19 in a Remora holster. I don't mind carrying it, especially with the Remora holster it's pretty comfy.
I was looking at a CZ75D PCR compact in specific for carry. I could probably pick up a "fair condition used" full size CZ75 from buds gun shop, replace the springs and throw a flashlight on it for HD purposes.

What do you guys think? Can any of the CZ guys chime in? Thanks.

They're not as nice as a 226 but they don't cost nearly as much. Good value, very reliable, and ergonomic. You won't be disappointed.

I see, appreciate the input.
I also have a thing for Slavshit, so that may also be another reason I want to like them. I'll try to see if any of my local ranges have CZ's for rent.
>>
Im curious about getting a CZ too....Hear a couple complaints about shitty triggers but the rest is positive
>>
I love mine. But I am part Czech too...
>>
>>
>>31375143
They're biggest competitor in the US is sig which have appreciably better triggers so that's not suprising. Still well within what's acceptable for a defensive handgun though. There's plenty of places like canjun gun works and cz custom that can do very good trigger jobs if you really desire a nice trigger.
>>
CZ pistols have been used in competitions for quite a while also.
>>
>>31375143
Yes, cz is known for the best qc on the market. The quality of the smallest details inside the frame is unparalleled, and the finish they apply to their guns is phenomenal.

I like mine. The trigger is alright for a DA/SA and it's been reliable after it was broken in. During the first hundred rounds I would have an occasional FTE, but it has not had another malfunction in the hundreds since then. My only complaints are that it is a little too heavy for me to wear in summer, and the finish is horrible. I hate that shit.

Also quality, fit, and finish is top notch.

They're pretty good, not the best of the best, but for a working steel service pistol they do all what's necessary.
Finish is cheap, but it works. If it bothers you, get someone to strip the finish and blue or cerakote it.

Some memer faggot will come in and fag all over the place about the finish on the inside but don't listen to him.

I like the B model.

>>31375143
Trigger is ok, could have less creep I suppose.

>>31375276

I own a P-01. It's my go-to winter carry/HD gun. Love it honestly, people will say that CZs are just slightly higher-priced for what they are, and I don't entirely think they're wrong, but for the reliability and overall quality of the firearm you get I think in most cases it's worth it. The P-01 feels amazing in my hand and it's definitely more accurate than I am. I don't have much to compare the trigger to in its size/quality class (obviously the Sig will be better), but it's really pretty nice as it is and smooths out a little after some use. I like that it's decocker only, though anymore you can choose what you want it to come with so it fits your needs better.

Overall, a bit too big for me to carry year-round, but I love the look and feel, and I haven't had a malfunction yet. I honestly like the looks of the P-01/SP-01 better than any of their other 75-derived offerings, maybe the most out of any of their pistols (barring the 97).

I'd jizz my pants to a mirror-finish-blued, dark wood grips 97.
>>
Should i sell my west german p6 towards getting a cz75d compact or just keep the p6 and put nyt syts on it
>>

Just get the trigger done and you have an awesome range gun

The finish on my gun is excellent and the machining is excellent too

If you get one you wont regret it
>>
>>31375445
I would keep the P6 IMO; just wait a bit and buy the 75d.

Sp-01 fag here
cZ are super accurate
Feel great in the hand
Little to no recoil
Anyone can shoot one well
It's a gun anyone can enjoy
You get a gun that's extremely close to a Race gun for not that much cash.
It's gonna feel 1000x better than shooting a Glock.

CONS: trigger is ok, the creep is easy to get used to.
Some have machining marks under the slide
Some coatings wear off depending on the batch
Not super easy to take apart.

I would agree the 226 is a slightly better gun, but it's WAY more expensive.

I own a Scorpion SBR, 455 Varmint in 22 LR, P07, CZ 75 and a 75 shadow line that I modified for competition.

personally I love my CZs, I've never had one fail on me. the fit and finish is not like a Sig for sure and the triggers (as mentioned) are not as crisp until you get to the higher dollar models like the Shadows and TS. they're great shooters and reliable. for the price, I fucking love them and I would trust my life to one. after shooting thousands of rounds in competitions with a few of their pistols with no issues, I'm a bigger fan than I was.

Hey CZfags, serious question. A customer's PCR wouldn't fire the other day. The firing pin doesn't portrude out the rear of the slide at all. When you press it inward with a punch or whatever, it feels super harsh like there are multiple catch points.

I tried to take it apart but it wouldn't budge. I know you have to press the plunger up and the pin in, then you can tap out the roll pin right? Or do you have to take the extractor out first? I'm not a CZ guy.

>>
CZs and Tanfos have been guns that I always want to like, but for some reason can never pull the metaphorical trigger and get one. The grip is just too awkwardly big on Tanfos for my hands, and the trigger reach is too long on CZs. The closest I got to liking one was a Tanfo Stock, but the slide felt the opposite of smooth (not gritty, but clunky as hell as everything unlocked and cocked) and the DA trigger stacking was annoying. The amount of takeup in SA was pretty bad too. I understand the trigger can be cleaned up pretty easy, but the ergonomic issues are still there.

If you ever want to work on your CZ if you get one, try CGW parts; absolutely great service and parts quality.

What I got in mine:
>improved firing pin and roll pin
>improved TRS and floating trigger pin
>14 lbs recoil spring, 15 lbs mainspring
>light firing pin spring

Even better than out of the box

>>31381570
that floating trigger pin is one of my favorite things about my CZ along with the flat SAO trigger and removing the disconnector to make it SAO at all.

Floating trigger pin is shit don't use it. Trigger pin wasn't designed to have any moment and it eats away at trigger over time. Stay away from CGW and especially avoid anything with set screws in it like some of their retarded parts have.

>>
>>31386735
Not him but probably CZCustom, which is the other main source for CZ parts. FWIW, I've heard a few sketchy things about CGW before as well, basically pointing to lower quality service due to not having enough people to cover the amount of business they were doing. Not sure if they've taken on more people or anything to correct the issues I heard of.
