yea, but I'd suggest looking around at pawnshops and such for a used 500 or 870.
I got my 500, pic related, for $200 a couple years ago

No it's not dumb ass, you can find mav 88 for 100 to 200.

It's actually a really great gun. If you're thinking of getting that or the 500, it's not a bad choice. 500s a bit better quality but you're mostly paying for the name. The 590/590A1 is definitely a quality increase over both though.

it's okay, but honestly if you're gonna get a cheap 12 gauge pump action shotgun, spend the extra money and get a remington 870 or mossberg 500

But ya OP you should definitely buy the mossberg 500. They're cheap as shit, customizable to all fuck and reliable as all fuck. Just give it a clean and then oil it when you first get it and you can easily shoot up a whole college campus with it
