Side mounts have been the way to scope Russian rifles since 1947, and a Picatinny rail allows mounting all sorts of good scopes, rings, and red dots. Take your faux Ivanposting and go back to /r/guns.

My only personal experience is with PSO mounts which were somewhat meme-tier, with Doglegs which were underwhelming, and with Ultimaks which were god tier for red dots.

I'd love to try an Midwest industries ring mount as it looks low profile to have good height over bore.

MI 30mm AK Red Dot mount, they make a double-ring scope mount too. QD, low profile, lower 1/3rd cowitness, great quality.
