I wish to buy this optic. I wish to hear from members of the /k/ambodian pottery bulletin page about their opinion of it. I'm not sure why.

Fantastic optic, amazing optical quality, large eyebox, forgiving eye relief, and a bargain compared to similar optics. Only downside is the weight. They are insanely heavy, but worth it.
Go for it mane. I plan on buying one of these and also a 4.5-27 gen II. great optics.
How do Vortex compare to the Bushnell Elite Tactical line?

Forgot to attach my image.
Seems excessive amount of $ to pay for that low of a magnification, but maybe that's just me. I will say that I like the razor hd gen ii 4.5-27x56 that I have though.

thats like twice as heavy as my Trijicon Accupoint btw, 14 oz master race

You're paying for light transmission and clarity. I have 3 of pretty much the same style 1-6 optic but my Leopold is appreciably better than my Bushnell Elite Tactical which in turn is significantly better than my Primary Arms.

If you don't care about weight, pretty much the best price/performance on any intermediate optic for a carbine. Glass is very clear, and field of view is great. But it's heavy... in a fairly noticeable way. I find myself putting it on carbines a lot and then taking it off a lot, as the decrease in handling doesn't quite make it worth it for me (of course ymmv). If you want similar (slightly better actually) optical performance but don't want the weight, I recommend the Kahles K16i or Swaro z6i. Both will save about half a pound on the vortex.

Have you tried the vortex strike eagle?
>>31364588
Can't say I have.

Vortex razor line is all twice as heavy as it should be

I think it's due to them using steel internals for strength/longevity/reliability. Not an excuse, just an explanation.

About the same. Or, close enough that I can't tell the difference.

The Razor 2 and Bushnell SMRS are the cheapest mid range 1-6x's you can buy. Luepolds and Burris all cost even more for similar quality glass, turret tracking, and reticles.

Where did you find a black version of the Razor, and what size Butler Creek covers did you use?
