Don't worry about the dot not lining up perfectly. Shoot the gun with the top of the post aligned and see how it shoots.

I get what you're coming from but why would you want tritiums over fiber optics when under the assumption that you're going to shoot in a low light condition with no illumination? You should be using a flashlight in a defensive low light situation and fiber optics glow brighter than tritium will.

And that's not even getting to using two different sights for two different applications, that is just straight up dumb as fuck. Not doing your eyes a favor on that one.

That's fair. I really really personally prefer the two dot configuration to three dot, and 2 dot doesn't work well for fiber optic rear. I also like the ability to acquire a positive sight picture before activating the light or in the event there is enough ambient light to effectively ID but not sufficiently illuminate fiber optics, to acquire a sight picture without needing to activate the light at all. It could also be argued (irresponsibly) that if it's close enough that the contrast difference would matter, you can index using just the light itself.

So I should put a vented rib on my carbine? Or my 1-6x on my shotgun? I'm going to guess you despise DA/SA as well, since no person could possibly train to be proficient with two different trigger pulls/sighting systems/firearms.
Strawmanning aside, both sets of irons are identical in function - the top edges and the light gap are the important bits. The contrast device serves only to draw the eye for point shooting, it isn't relevant to the actual quick and accurate alignment of the sights the way the top edges and blade/notch widths are. It's not like one is an aperture and the other is a guttersight or something like that.
