Looks like British are moving ahead with a recapitalisation of their older vehicles (Land Rovers, Pinazgauers, etc.).
MRV-P Group 1,(750 vehicles all up; liaison, command and control and logistics) will be satisfied with an off the shelf purchase of the JLTV/L-ATV from Oshkosh through FMS
Group 2, (180 troop carrying vehicle and 70 protected ambulance) has five competitors.
BAE Systems/Penman, Zephy MRV
GDLS-UK/GD-ELS (MOWAG), Eagle V
Rheinmetall MAN, Survivor R
Mercedes Benz, Unimog
Thales/Thales Australia, Bushmaster
Who do you think will take group 2?

These will be joining other wheeled vehicles that have been taken into core that were acquired for Afghanistan. Foxhound, Mastiff/Wolfhound/Ridgeback, Husky, Panther, Jackal and Coyote.
Please buy.
Given the requirements, think GD will bid their Eagle in the 6x6 format.
Certainly not the most prettiest.
Yeah, nah.

I will miss these buggers, thanks for the good years dutchies.
Sexy as fuck.

the normal one already sucks ...
old unimog had 1,5m max water depth you could go trough
... this thing is legit 1m taller.. and only has 1m max depth
also really shit for offroad due to some "Gearbox safe mechanism" which will disengage difflocks most of the time ....
>we are stuck, lets use difflock and just drive on
>LoLnope
>still stuck and need another one of thsoe fucks to pull you out
>if it doesnt disengage difflock too
things a shit

Yeah, I was puzzled with the Unimog offering.
Most news sites besides one doesn't actually say what they're bidding, the only other I thing I can thing of is a G-Wagon LAPV.

Whats the point of these vehicles when the IVECO trucks exist?
>>31348532
Jesus christ janes, never have i seen information so out of date.
The vehicles In question are not for the BRITISH forces but to supply as aid.
Most of what is on the list already lost out in competition to the other recent requirements.

China, please.

LMV/Panther was a UOR purchase for one singular role.
MRV-P is a more encompassing project expanding on several roles and long term core purchases.

Bong mate.
The MRV-P programme started 11 months ago and has accoriding o my sources ended after they realised that they can still use Samaritan and LRs for ambulances.
An Panther can be converted to ambulance by even the tools in reme

That Italian vehicle. I forgot the name but it's pretty fucking good and cheap.
BAE will probably win tho if they already have the domestic production up and running. That's what ALWAYS wins these things.
>>31349423
Iveco Panther is pretty good but its probably going to be even more Huskies since they have the space,
>>31349407
The article literally states they just decided to move ahead with MRV-P after a year of almost news as per usual.
We'll see by the end of the year, tenders are to be issued by then as the article says.
Only difference is no word on a wheeled ARV to supplement the Huskies.
Supacat has shown off a Coyote derivate at DVD '16. MoD will probably just sole source a purcahse for that hopefully.
The JLTV purchase and down select for group 2 have been in works for a few months at least it seems.

No surprise, the JLTV took group 1 with no issues.
Can't beat the 60,000 run pricing.
