for a civi, the only armour is being mobile and returning a high volume of precision fire. make all the weight you can lug be ammo. armour like that is for mil personell when on guard duty or riding armoured vehicles - both roles where they are very exposed. where the fuck will you be using 10+kg of milsurp armour? if you really needed a plate, you could have gotten a UHMWPE/Dyneema plates rated for 7.62x39/556 that floats on water for half the price, newly manufactured and guaranteed to work.
