Kansas has much better gun laws than Colorado. The question is, where is the best state to live as a gun owner. That includes all facets of life, like can you drive 1 hour or less from where you live, find public land, set up a target and do target shooting there for free? That's one of the things that make the western states so good. You can even do rural target shooting on some types of public land in California. To my knowledge, Midwestern states with very good gun laws like Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Georgia tend to lack these kinds of opportunities.

Texan here, I have had lots of thoughts about Colorado. If I ever HAD to choose another state to live in, Colorado would be it. I'm concerned about hippies (or whatever the modern version of them is, you know the ones that talk about moving to there purely because lol weed dood 420, not that I have a problem with weed, it just doesn't do for me what it does for others)

The scenery and from what I heard CO folks are pretty calm and sensible. I buddy of mine is moving to Alaska soon after years of talking about it, I told him I'd move to Colorado because it's got all the things he loves about Alaska, but dialed way down and much closer to home

Although I've heard from one or two people Coloradoans don't like Texans, is that true, and if so, why?

Its such a shame, because as a visitor here, this land is beautiful. Truly part of God's chosen states. So many different colors, lakes and rivers, the mountains and forests. This is the kind of land that should be inhabited by conservative, down to earth folks who love liberty and freedom.

Not really unless you're up in the mountains. Last year we still got up to the 90s in October, though it was abnormally hot. Usually hitting 60s-50s by the end of October. Cold hit's like a brick wall early November. Usually lasts until late February mid March. Tons of ski resorts and other winter stuff to be done though.
