make sure it's an a1 at that price, It should have a metal trigger guard and is corrosion treated. If i'm remembering the 590a1 correctly

Look for rust in all the usual places. Cycle the action, ask if they have any 12ga snap caps you can test. Make sure it's new and not used. At that price I'm guessing it's the 5 shot 18" barrel bead sight version, which is fine, just remember swapping barrels on the a1 is harder than the standard models.
