I was cleaning the action of a Marlin Model 60 and one of the side plates was kinda "loose" so I fucked with it then it just kinda exploded.

I'm posting this in this thread because I got this today for $80 and now I'm just pissed off at it.

bought the p99as gun grandpa used in his review of it. wanted one, it was under 500, couldnt pass it up.

I got it back together guys.

I found out that it doesn't have a spring to lock the bolt open. Is that a potential issue you think?

I have yet to fire it, and quite frankly I'm unsure how it will go when I do get a chance to.

Worst, heaviest trigger I've ever ever felt.
Shoots well though and seems very solid.

Gonna saw the barrel down to 18.5" and use it as a truck gun.

Bought an m44 plus 720 rounds of nugget food for $350. The m44 is a weird combination of romanian and bulgarian parts, plus a polish barrel and receiver. Its ugly but the action is smooth. Using it as a woods gun

Just got back from the range. It's has a nice weight to it keeping recoil mostly down.

I haven't shot .45 in a long time, so I was a bit all over the place and flinching a little. With time and practice I know I'll get better.

It's a fun as fuck pistol to shoot though.

Recently acquired a Norinco 1911a1. Fit/finish is good, low round count, barrel looks like it's starting to peen on the lugs which is common on these so ordering a Colt barrel.
Bought it mainly as a project piece/range run. If it proves reliable might carry. Stock photo (phone lost at the moment)

Mine was $400, no box and what looks like a shitty GI mag. Probably could of haggled but figured worse case still sell it trade/sell it equal or more than I paid for.
If you can break it down and look at the barrel lugs/cam. Look up some vids and reviews. Comparatively $150 less than a SA Mil-Spec and less than a hundred difference for a RIA/Tisas. Middle of the road poormans 1911
