I do have one though

I had a G17 catastrophically fail while I was shooting it. Besides that, I just dislike almost every design choice. I'm old fashioned in the sense that I want a metal-framed DA/SA with a decocker, a manual safety, and ideally an exposed hammer. Basically, give me a P38/P1, 92FS, or CZ75. P38 being my personal favorite simply because I can shoot it well.

And of course, above all, I find Glocks painfully dull and boring. If I did own one it, it would be a chore to train with. Ifor you enjoy shooting a gun, you're far more likely to actually practice with it.

Because I dont particularly care about high capacity, and love the feel and aesthetic of all-metal handguns. I carry this all day every day in a falcon summer comfort

I'm almost 1k rounds deep with 0 failures as well.

I might, someday do a 9mm SBR AR build that takes Glock mags and have a matching g19/17 to go with it as an SHTH/ fun pelican case combo. But that's after I finish nursing school.

Buddy's gun, don't remember what gen. He takes good care of his weapons but like to run +P, though I don't actually know if that was a factor.
Anyway, on the first shot, the slide came off the frame rails and beaned me in the face. I know a slide rail broke and some other bits probably did too, but I didn't get a good look. Just handed the pile of Glock back to my buddy and we never really spoke of it again.

In any case, I don't have a problem with Glocks. Plenty of people like them, and that's fine. I just personally really don't like them.

Because I have a Gen 3 19 and don't feel the gen 4 is enough of an improvement to warrant a trade.

I wouldn't say "best handgun ever created" but IMO the Glock 19 is easily one of the best all around pistols ever made, ever, by anyone.

I own may other pistols, for a variety of reasons, some because I just like how they look. But this pistol I own because it's like that old hammer out in the garage - it aint pretty but it always gets the job done.

CZ75 is preferable as long as you get a good-quality one. The 1911 is the definition of a meme gun, even more than the Glock. If you really want an original Browning design, just get a Hi-Power. It's a 1911 with most of the major issues fixed.

19 is perfect for when I got a button up for an over shirt, or a lite jacket.

17 for winter carry.

Thanks. It's a Springfield Armory compact range officer. It's a 4" 1911 with an aluminum lower and titanium feed ramp insert. It also has a bushing-less bull barrel and a lot of other features that you'd find on an expensive 1911, but with a sub $800 price tag. Love it to pieces.

Question for people who own a Glock 23 and is shooting both 9/40. But first muh range story...
