Send help.

The AWB bill has been stuck in the house all year with no action. I don't think it's going to pass. That ballot initiative might fuck us over though.
>>
>>31334205
The ballot initiative was also a House Bill, it was dead on arrival in the House. So they put it to the people instead. And it also basically removes due process.

They'll do the same with the AWB.

And it will pass, they do vote by mail here and the description of I-594 on the ballot was very misleading and made it out to be extremely positive. That will happen again.

> (1) A petition for an extreme risk protection order may be filed
by (a) a family or household member of the respondent or (b) a law
enforcement officer or agency.

Well fuck.

(5) If the petitioner is a law enforcement officer or agency,
the petitioner shall make a good faith effort to provide notice to a
family or household member of the respondent and to any known third
Code Rev/KS:amh 4 I-3192.1/16
party who may be at risk of violence. The notice must state that the
petitioner intends to petition the court for an extreme risk
protection order or has already done so, and include referrals to
appropriate resources, including mental health, domestic violence,
and counseling resources. The petitioner must attest in the petition
to having provided such notice, or attest to the steps that will be
taken to provide such notice.

And there goes your job if someone wants to throw a fit.

Upon hearing the matter, if the court finds by a
preponderance of the evidence that the respondent poses a
significant danger of causing personal injury to self or others by
having in his or her custody or control, purchasing, possessing, or
receiving a firearm, the court shall issue an extreme risk
protection order for a period of one year.

(i) The unlawful or reckless use, display, or brandishing of a
firearm by the respondent;
>>
(f) A description of the requirements for relinquishment of
firearms under section 10 of this act; and
(g) The following statement: "To the subject of this protection
order: This order will last until the date and time noted above. If
you have not done so already, you must surrender to the (insert name
of local law enforcement agency) all firearms in your custody,
control, or possession and any concealed pistol license issued to
you under RCW 9.41.070 immediately. You may not have in your custody
or control, purchase, possess, receive, or attempt to purchase or
receive, a firearm while this order is in effect. You have the right

> to request one hearing to terminate this order every twelve-month
period that this order is in effect, starting from the date of this
order and continuing through any renewals. You may seek the advice
of an attorney as to any matter connected with this order."
>>

Don't comply, fuck them, call them out on this bullshit, what is Washington state going to jail millions of gun owners? Bullshit, the moment we tell them to fuck of they'll piss their pampers and go back to increasing the minimum wage again.
>>
>>31334566
>unlawful or reckless use, display, or brandishing of a firearm by the respondent
Which could be anybody at an OC rally who wants to protest the fucking law.
>>
Hmm

(2) The law enforcement agency with jurisdiction in the area in
which the respondent resides shall serve the respondent personally,
unless the petitioner elects to have the respondent served by a
private party.

Cheers gents, it was fun while it lasted.
here is to the last 15 years of "free" gun ownership.

>what is probable cause
You gotta prove that the person is at risk.

In other words, GOOD LUCK
>>
>>31334822
There goes open carry in WA
>>
>>31334945
And how did the bill define perceived risk?
>>
So if I'm reading this right, and I'm really bad at legal stuff so I might not be, if someone thinks you're a danger to yourself or others, they can report you, and if a court finds they are correct, you must hand over all your guns?
>>
>>31335099
For one year.
>>
Ouch
>>
so who are the authors of this bill that we can doxx and put a hit on?

Anyone who has ever taken anti depressants bout to get their guns taken away.
>>
>>31334251
I think it's bullshit the way they word the descriptions on the ballots. If it's something they (dems) want, its very positively worded so the general masses think "oh, why wouldn't I want this?". And on the other end you see shit like "the Senate voted in, without the consent of the people, xxx bill. Should we repeal it?"

Honestly it shouldn't have anything other than the bills name. If people can't do 5 minutes of research to understand what it is they're voting for, they might as well throw their ballot out.

It didn't.

It didn't define an awful lot of things.

Consider that for a moment.
>>

CA here, I don't even need to think about it, it's vague on purpose so they can say it's whatever they want. They've been doing the same thing here for longer than I've been able to own firearms. We told you guys it would spread, you didn't listen.
>>
>>31336331
Basically, keep your gun hobby to yourself. If your a pissed off guy, no one bats an eye. If your a pissed off gun owner, get ready to have your shit confiscated
