Dear /k/,
I have a Gen4 Glock 17 that I haven't fired in perhaps 4-5 years. I take it out and oil it, clean it, make sure all the bits that should move do, and those that don't don't.
Question is, how long can it sit without being run, if I want to keep it in top condition - i.e. ready to fire when I need it to fire.
Follow up - I have a lot (well, relatively) of 9mm - maybe 1500 rounds of assorted types - JSP, JHP, FMJ, etc. Should I be worried about a shelf-life?
Appreciate all comments and suggestions. Pic related.

If you keep it properly oiled/maintained for storage, then indefinitely

Only if it's exposed to adverse temperatures and/or humidity. If it's stored dry in a sealed container then no.
