Honestly unless you're looking for a real duty handgun or you're going to start something like IDPA, get the 19.

Here's why.

1. Glock 17 mags fit and work in a 19
2. Glock 19 mags are the easiest and cheapest +10 round magazines you'll find(See the post I posted earlier)
3. Carrying a glock 19(If you choose to do so) is slightly easier.

I fired a Glock 34 and an M9 at a range.
The M9 was way to big for me and it jammed multiple times.
The Glawk was flawless but im not going to be picking up the 34 but a 17 instead.

Not him but to me a G17 or G26 fits significantly better in my hands than a G19, and it took years of shooting a G19 and ignoring all the other Glocks to come to that realization. The finger groove spacing on the G19s is assholes, as is the placement of the hump on the backstrap. Both are fixable, of course, but that comes at the cost of ruining your gun's value doing it yourself or paying $400+ for some guy who posts too much on Instagram to do plastic surgery.

Additionally I find the extra sight radius on the G17 to be very helpful. I can regularly (>75% of the time) hit a steel reduced size torso silhouette at 50 yards with a G17. Doing that with a G19 is more difficult, though I suppose not as difficult as with a DAO J-Frame (last weekend I was pretty excited to get 2/5 on that target).

I do appendix carry and find the extra barrel length to be helpful for comfort. An extra .5" of grip length isn't a huge deal for concealment either, at least for me.

I own 18 of them. I have a particular one I just keep loading and using again and again and again and I've not had a single issue with it.

And I've tried to make them jam, they won't.
