I lost a spring in the desert once. Good thing it was just for a mag release and I could ghetto it with a shorter spring.

I was working a Walther tph the other day, i knocking one of the pins back in when i glanced it and it evaporate into thin air. I turned the living room over looking for it, i called it quits and im ordering a pin soon.

Made me jej lightly.

My edc is missing two springs for this very reason.

One wasn't necessary.

The other was, but I nigger-rigged a pen spring in there. Works like a champ.

I still run a magnet through the vacuum dust to find them.

One spring holds the "loaded when up" indicator down. It just flips up whenever now, I always treat the gun hot anyway so it doesn't matter.

The other spring holds the takedown pin retainer in place. A very small rock could do the same job.

i did the same thing with my favorite knife, for 7 years. it had slipped into a slot in my couch that was just wide enough to get your fingers through but too deep to reach into. I took three hours to get it out.

Just get a big, transparent plastic bag or one of those zip bags
And dissasemble your gun on there. Now you won't lose sptings that easily
