I want to mount a scout scope on my SKS, and thus far I've got several choices on how to do this.

So far these are the 2 choices I've narrowed it down to. Anyone with experience know which would be best?

It's your money I guess.

Thanks for being useful, faggot.

wait, doesn't that sort of get in the way of loading? Unless you go detachable magazine, I guess.
If you're going to mount optics on these slavaboo rifles, always use a side mount.

>i am too stupid to google things myself

it's designed for use with detachable mags but you can thumb in rounds one by one if you've got a fixed mag and dont wanna modify your gun

is that the correct ammunition for an sks?
>>31314745
It sure doesn't look like 7.62x39
>>31314745
I know right, that doesn't look correct
I'm thinking of getting this one for mine so I can keep using clips on it. SKS Scope Mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017POO7RK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_jI61xbMJZSHYB
Please take a look into crazy ivan scope mounts for either mosins or sks's they are new production and work off the same principle as the russian standard issue of the sks era scope mounts heres a link to his ebay listings http://m.ebay.com/sch/i.html?sid=crazyivanllc&_pgn=1&isRefine=true

Railed receiver covers are garbage. They don't hold zero for shit.
>>31315004
Yeah, but that requires drilling and tapping the receiver.

meh. they kill pigs just fine at <100 yards
>>31315041
Its the best way to do it in my opinion because it secures thr scope or optic the best way possible just my 2 cents and its really not all that hard my man any competent gunsmith worth the time of day can do it in under 30 minutes and you still retain your irons and it shouldnt mess with rezeroing so much if you mark the screws but it can be easily removed for cleaning.
Just a thought though since you asked for options and ideas.
The railed dust covers are literal shit and i do mean that i have tried almost every version there is and theyre shit.

I guess ejection works with that rail too? Does the brass get directed to the left or the right?
